I just spoke to a friend who lives in Mesa, AZ and he stated that Speedworld Dragway in North Phoenix is still operating. Is that a true statement? I thought Speedworld was done.

False.
As far as Done, there is a strip and a tower there still, so I would never say done at this time.
There is always a possibility someone will make a successful pitch to the County/State.
If that doesn't happen within a few years though,, I would say "done"

Not much left on Speedworld property except the tower(very badly deteriorating) and the strip(that is falling apart on a daily basis)

So ,the track is NOT open, and the track is NOT all plowed up.

I was race director out there and we did have a couple all nighters or almost. The mud bog arena would have the all nighters and when the hangovers wasn't so bad the participants would leave the next morning.

Jeff, he may be talking about when Bob Curly had the track. We spent many, many all nighters. And had a great time racing and bench racing after the lights were turned off!

Had a lot of fun at that track! Curly was the best, he always let us run our street racers out on his track and treated us with respect, and boy he take pride in his track prep, you will be missed Bob.

That is why it is still called "Bob's World"! Man, I miss seeing Bob Cratchet driving around in that old chevy truck.

No, Pat. We lost almost everything. Did rescue the Harley and the Model A. Colt was at Comp Chassis.
You working with the wife on the property in Wickenburg?
