Combo Race at Piedmont ????????
 

Division 9 IHRA racers now that your are in a 2 month holding pattern and My Brother and I are the Owner/Operators of Piedmont Dragway we would like to have a Combo race but we are having to use the schedule that the track already had in place. We are looking at two before the end of the year. Let me know if the Sunday after Roxboro's race on Saturday in August will work.

I'm planning on going to Epping, so I wouldn't be able to make that one, but I like the idea of running them back to back with Roxboro.

Hrmmmm.... Won't have the car in Radford until August or September, and still have to get a truck so I can pull the trailer at school. But if all that is together I'm down for some combos late in the year.

How far is if from Greensboro to Roxboro? Isn't Roxboro close to Va? I may not make Roxboro, but I would try for Greensboro. What weekend? I'll check my calendar. I'm ready to race again.

Hey Stacie! We live just south of Greensboro and it takes us about an hour and a half to get to Roxboro. Mapquest says it's 73 miles.

Roxboro is a nice little track - Allan does a great job running it.

Oh yes, Jamie did almost put it on the back bumper..... and then got mad because they were moving weight to keep it down. lol. She was upset because there was not a picture of it and wanted to do it again. =) We sooo didn't expect that.

Now what is the date of this race???

Dang!! I heard she had a 1.57 sixty foot, because it was tripping it with the back tires...is that a fact?

Thanks Angela. The Roxoboro website was helpful. We are about 3 hours from Piedmont Dragway, so the 4 hours 20 min. that MapQuest states is probably accurate. Congratulations on the win at Kinston! Perhaps I should start looking for a Volare, Charger, Challenger, Dart, or Demon! My Dad had always raced a Camaro; so I was unfamilar with the Dodges, but now I seem to be surrounded by them in staging lanes. Maybe we will be able to compete in these combo races, and ya'll can catch me if you can! A Chevy 305 usually means I leave first!

Stacy Piedmont is 58 miles from Roxboro, call me to get the "back way" from I 85. I live 6 miles from Piedmont and my son runs at Roxboro every points race. I will open the gates at Piedmont so the motorhome people can park in the track on Saturday night as they leave Roxboro.
