Girl Power in Stock and Super Stock
 

ok so I read a article on NHRA web page about Girl power and would like for anyone interested in "Girl Power" in Stock and Super Stock list their name and what class car they drive
.hey Stock and Super Stock has a lot of Girls racing NHRA needs to recognize this in articles and new releases , some racers last weekend are

Paula Cotton in Stock and sometimes in Super Stock
Chris Ashley in Stock
Caitlin Setters in Super Stock
Staci Smith in Super Stock
Kayla Mozeris in Stock
Charlene Gullett in Super Stock
Kelly Pott-Hall in Stock
Jackie Alley in Super Stock
Mary Ann Method in Stock

When this list is done I will send the list to NHRA so they are aware of the Girls racing in Stock and Super Stock just for them to realize there are other women racing besides the two or three in the pros .

Have to include Brina Splingaire (GT/BA Cobalt). She has already won mutliple national events in the super categories despite only being in her mid-20's.

i may be wrong on the last name but Missy Phillips (yellow 69 Nova stocker) seems be in the final round more often than not the last year and a half.


...and there was a lady trailered, prepped and driven 71 or 72 Chevelle (white with black stripes) at Numidia last year. very cool to see...but i know not her name.

The girl at Numidia last year was Katie Sepanek...been kicking butt and taking names in D-1 for awhile now and for anyone who cares her Mom is a great racer also up at Numidia!

Ok now that all had a chance to list the women in racing all should e-mail any NHRA official with this post saying we need more press releases and more articles on these women racers If we all do this this will be this the begining of finally getting our due as sportsman racers then we can come in on the coat tails of them to get more publicityt for us i think lol:D

Ok now for the campaign to NHRA everyone needs to fax or e-mail to Phil Burgess this blog or fax The fax number is 626-963-5360 Phil Burgess e-mail address is pburgess@nhra.com ), I find it very funny when the National Dragster shows all the reporting news about the pros but yet their customers mostly are sportsman their advertising is gear towards the sportsman and there is not much articles about the Women in Sportsman racing we have many there are only what three or four women in the pros we must speak up or we lose lol

I know just lately we have had some articles about sportsman but it is always the reporting about the "dwindling" Pros soon less and less pros their future is gear towards their sponsors money and their sponsors money is going away so NHRA and National Dragster needs to cater towards those sportsman's racing who are the majority ok off my soap box lol

A number of years ago, two of the sons of one my friends had just started racing juniors. One of them was razzing the other about having lost to a girl. I told the one doing the razzing that if he was going to spend anytime drag racing, he'd better get used to losing to girls. What is impressive about the lists of women that people have named is just haw many women there are on those lists. Diversity in drag racing is as old as the sport-remember the Bean Bandits out of San Diego in the early 1950s?
