CCRA Race #1
 

March 10th kicks our season off at Piedmont Dragway!!! Gates open at 10:30. No crank up before 12:00.

Membership is $25.00. Entry fee is $80.00 and the Second Chance Race entry is $25.00.

We will be on a ladder at this race. Pairing will be done by reaction time of the second time run.

Our Championship Ceramony will take place on the starting line prior to the second time run.

I'm really excitied about getting our season underway and looking forward to seeing everyone there!!!!

T-shirts should be shipping out tomorrow. Unless UPS screws it up, I should have them for Sunday. I have white and black t-shirts ordered. The price will be $15.00 each.

We will not have an entry, but will be there checking out some great Stock/super Stock calss racing. It is suppose to be very nice weather, hope to see a good turnout

Going Testing Saturday. If everything goes right we'll have 4 there, but atleast 3. Great weather for racing this weekend hope everyone can make it!!!

Well, best laid plans of mice and men and all that.................

I hoped to be ready for the first race today, but as usually happens every small job turned into a major project! So my "heart" will be at Piedmont, but my "a**" will be under the 'wagon trying to get things finished up.

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable race!

It was a great day of racing!!! We had 50 cars show up to race with 46 making the first round call. Congradulations to Jamie Holston for taking the first win of the 2013 season!!! Jeff Longhany took the runner-up honors. The second chance race was a big hit as we had 20 cars to enter with Donnie Moore,Jr. taking the win over me.
Special thanks to Kevin and Piedmont Dragway for providing us an excellent facility to race at and for kicking in $$$$ for the Second Chance Race and to Ultimate Convertor (Lenny and Dawn) for their race sponsorship and trophy sponsorhip.
The Bordeaux Machine Best Race Reaction Time winner is Mike Longhany with a .000 light in the first round of eliminations.
I have Techwest Gift Certificates for the Winner, Runner Up and semifinalist as well as gift certificates from Ultimate Convertor for the winner and runner -up.
Our Tech Director, Robert Kinton, did a great job, especially enduring a long day of racing.

I'll get points together tomorrow as its getting pretty late right now.

What a great season opener! It was a pleasure getting to meet up and chat with you Scott. It was great racing weather and a good time meeting a bunch of the racers a seeing some very exciting class racing. Best of luck the rest of the season to all!

I know there are some racers that were at Piedmont that couldn't make the first round call, for fear of leaving someone out, I'll just say Thank you for your support and hope things go better at the next event.

And I want to thank everyone for showing support for the CCRA. Although,we do need more membership support. Out of the 46 that showed for first round, only 23 were members. Come September thru November I'm going to be campaigning and seeking support from larger companies. The more members we have, the better it looks for the CCRA.
