A milestone in our lifetime. America will never be the same. Not because we are somehow diminished by these murders, except that we lost many good Americans. But America is stronger today because it was a wake up call that we need to, and choose to aggressively uphold American ideals. No, we will NEVER forget.

Remember the Crew and Passengers of American Flight 11, United Flight 175, American Flight 77. Remember the heroism of those on United Airlines Flight 93. Remember those lost in the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. And in all cases, remember those who responded to save those who could be saved, and comfort others.

One of my fellow police officers was supposed to fly to LA on 9/11. He had a mid morning flight and wanted to go earlier. He called American Airlines and they said they would put him Flight 11 and just show up for the 7:30am flight. He overslept and missed the flight. (Gives me chillls every time I tell that story).

I saw the Tribute in Lights on the way home from work tonight. Its a very powerful and moving sight to see those two blue beams of light shooting skyward.

We were at the memorial on Monday. It was a very moving experience.
