Fontana LODRS
STK and SS will have a run schedule similar to what we had in Vegas. One Friday morning and two Saturday (one AM and one after Noon).
Mike BTW - Vegas checks from '06 divisional have been squared away. Any looking for those still, contact myself or the track. Sorry for the confusion. |

Mike,
Do you happen to know what time the test-n-tune will run? Thanks. |
Hey Mike,
How about two on Friday and two on Saturday? Can't take long to run another round of Stock and Super Stock. What, you don't think this is "FAIR" to the other Classes? We are limited to 128 cars in Eliminations and the Super Classes are all run. Where is the " FAIR" in that. We pay the same money and may not even have a chance to race in Eliminations! Where is the " FAIR" in that. I think this alone should entitle us to at least one extra qualifying run. I think that would be "FAIR". |
Thanks for the information Mike.
To others that need more info. Although test and tune schedule is not listed here. http://www.californiaspeedway.com/dragway/ |
Just curious ... how many runs will the .90 classes get ?
|
It is not fair. There is nothing super about those classes. Anyone can put a big motor in a light car and then slow it down...DUH.....so exciting to watch too......blattt stutter stuttter stutter......gee need to tune it up....lets turn the knob. What is the National record for Stupid Gas 9.90?
Performance based classes capable of setting National records should have 2 runs on Friday and 2 on Saturday Period. A bad day racing is better than a good day at work except for Div 7. Real men shift for them selves. 06/07 G/S record holder |
Mike Rice held a meeting at Las Vegas for the Super Stock and Stock racers. I think this was a great idea to give us a chance to voice our concerns and opinions directly to him. Thank you Mike!
My comments in this post refer to that discussion and his response to the same point I made there about 4 time runs. He said that would not be "Fair" to the other classes since they pay the same amount of entry money. I was trying to point out that there are other circumstances to consider and not all of the classes have the same requirements or even the same opportunities. |
I agree with Bryans' earlier statement, fair seems to be gone.
I see this has the potential to end up like the Phoenix race went. Was planning to run Rod's car at this event however, due to family concerns, will not be able to make it. Something is telling me that I won't be missing too much. Best to all to those who do attend. Eric |
I wish they were all just 2 day races like a couple that are coming up and some in division 6
You can always make more money but you can never make more time - spend your time wisely |
Mike is at least is making an effort on our parts. A scheduled 3 runs is better than what we recieve at some events.
2 runs on Fri. and 2 on Sat. would be great, and the return of a record lane would be nice to see in the performance based classes. May actually motivate people to run their cars instead of laying down during qualifying. 7426 ?/S? Well, it's still a stocker! No guts, no glory! |
The schedule is fine. Lets see people we get two hits in the morning and one in the afternoon, and when is our first round? Sunday morning. While the super categories get two on friday and one sometime saturday mid morning and there first round is sometime late on saturday. So their weather readings are totally different than what they have recorded for their runs. I rather have comprable weather conditions for first round. You want to test, run test and tune, or better yet run a bracket race. Its really cheap way to go testing. Keep complaining, see what happens. WIth all the younger racers from jr. drag racing entering the super catogories and top sportsman and top dragster classes and what a few trickle in to Stock and Super Stock. How long will they want to hear its not fair its not fair from us? I am sure they have an idea of what fair is. And its probably not on the same level that everyone is used to.

Rick,

Mike did listen to our inputs and our complaints at the meeting in Vegas. He did have the starting line dragged just like we asked prior to our qualifing runs and eliminations so the first guys out had a good pad to launch from. Thanks Mike for listening and Jonathan if you read this forum please do the same at our division 6 races.[:-cheers-:]

Anybody got a stocker that needs a driver? Now that there is a schedule i can plan to race. Thanks Mike!!!
PS. Like to have fun so if your not don't respond. Scott Loge |
Hey Scott, I was going to ask the same thing! Too bad I have a Torts final on Friday night and a Crim Law final on Monday.
I miss the driver's seat. Jared Jordan 7551 SS/BA |
When was the last time a .90's car set a record and had to be torn down? Has moving target ever tryed to get a good condition to set a record? Would moving target be able to tear down? Does anybody care? Bob |
