Excellent article. These new cars are certainly going to turn a few heads!

So what are the ADRL acceptable manual transmissions allowed for the CJs? I'd like to come to a few events to throw yet another Hoosier CJ into the mix.

Where are the COPO Slowmaros? They started the COPO build about the same date as the 2013 Cobra Jet...

I have been anxiously awaiting the COPOs performance results and can't believe they have not made an appearance at the track yet. I wonder what is the hold up? I thought they had started production a little before the CJs. I know Ford has a very efficient system from concept to follow through to final product on all it's vehicles.

Yeah, I wonder about that. Maybe starting the program up had more problems than they figured. I can't wait to see what the "slowmaros" do. :)

That's a great name for the program, sould copyright that name. The program is BIG time late. It was just thrown to together now will thought out. They will be lucky to get all built in 2012 last ones probably will be built in 2013. Thery stared about the same time or just before the 2013 CJ's. This was much bigger than any one at GM thought, does this surpise anyone. The First bactch is still on done. GM has dropped the ball on this one!
So SLOWMAROS is not just on the track but the build process also!

Mopars without the preferred transmission, COPO's no where in sight. Just shows how much further ahead Ford's program really is both in logistics and on the track...

ADRL had a video of Dr. Jamie talking about the COPO at a Showdowm race. Can't remember the date he said. Maybe scoping out the competition and had to do some last minute adjustments ;)

I like Jamie even though he went to the dark side!! I almost understand with the job opportunity that was presented to him at the time he turned into the enemy lol

Wonder who will be the first SLOPO Camaro racer to compete. i see Caleb McFarland on the Indy stock eliminator entry list with one. or will it be Dave Connolly?

I wasn't in the loop when the 2008 Mustangs came out but maybe the first year they had a few bugs to work out. These Cobra Jets are a master piece of construction and I can see how it might be hard to make something this complicted in quantity at the drop of a hat.

Maybe if they do it again for 2014 model year, it will work out better.

Nice! I think these cars will fly the LS motor is amazing to say the least! I can't wait to see them at the track!
