Andy Griffith dies at 86
:(:( Another of our T.V. icons has died at the age of 86. The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock were two of my favorites. Andy also did many movies and appeared on numerous other shows. His gospel music was as good as many other singers. R.I.P. Andy - you will not be forgotten.
Let's see how many of us remember these good times brought to us by Andy and all the others on his shows. |

Andy was a true American icon. Everyone loved "America's Sheriff". Jim

Re: Andy Griffith dies at 86
That was when we laughed at what was funny. And his shows were fun. And he was as Jim said, an American Icon.
Today, the best selling, most talked about book is about bondage and domination, and one of the top movies is about a male stripper... We had already lost most of our pride, character, humor and compassion as a Nation. Now we have also lost one of those great reminders of that wonderful simpler, more family oriented time in America. Rest in Peace Andy Griffith! David The New Hemi Guy |

Re: Andy Griffith dies at 86
OK, a little trivia question in honor of Andy:
In the show, what was the relationship between Andy and Barney besides Sheriff and Deputy? . |
Re: Andy Griffith dies at 86
I think they were cousins

Here is a tough one. Andy Griffith played a bad guy in one movie, it was about dirt bikers in the hills out west somewhere.

Re: Andy Griffith dies at 86
No Time For Sargeants, the movie, was very funny.....and that was before the TV show.
Don Knotts was in it too...as a shrink...... The scene where Andy shows off his custom saluting toilets to the commanding officer and explains how he was the P.L.O. was very funny. The Sarge was in trouble... Don Knotts was a regular on the Steve Allen show and I watched it a lot when I was still in high school......A very funny show... |
