I am sure you all know about Erica

We should congratulate her here for the terrific accomplishment

May not be stock or super stock but still historic for our whole sport

Probably see her on "Good Morning America" tomorrow morning

You go girl

Ron

Wait until her crew chief - Dave Connolly starts driving the stock eliminator Canazzi blown Camaro

You are right. She drove here heart out today and deserves the win. Boy was Greg pissed! It has taken since 2005 for her to get a win. BTW her sister used to race in Stock down here in D-2 a few years ago. Conrats to you Erica! Finally! Jim

Have met both of them. Very nice people.... Congratulations to Erica. That Cagnazzi engine was pulling away from Anderson the whole run.

If Greg was Pissed that just shows what a jerk he is.. Doesn't matter if your are an Erica fan or not, she can drive and has a car/crew that gave her the power. She's been close before and the car wasn't there. No one gave her the win this weekend so good for her and the team. Hopefully Grace Howell can get some more power and play as well. Time for the Old Boys club to step aside!

I don't think Anderson was peeved off at loosing to a woman but just at another competitor. No love between the Connelly and Anderson.CR

Glad to see Erica finally put one in the W column. I bet that wally will have a very special place in New Orleans

Actually, she impresses me now. When she first started, not so much, but she is the real dea.l Also, Greg handled it like a champ. No one likes to lose, but like him, or hate him, I think he has class. I am actually an Edwards fan myself.

Anybody that has been joyful about a RU that they didn't luck into is a loser!
He gave her plenty of credit and for anybody that can't understand the "that guy" thing I have a bridge I'd like to sell you!

Re: I am sure you all know about Erica

Nah, Anderson said Sunday and has said before that he didn't want to be the "one" who lost to Erica. He also said Sunday he was going to be in the record books for the "wrong reason". Nah, he has always been into himself and rarely had a good word for anybody else but Jason. I have never been a fan of Erica but she paid her dues and did this one with class. Her sister is a very nice person also and I would love to have her come back to Stock and race D2 and the SSSSA. Jim

Re: I am sure you all know about Erica

On TV, they showed footage of her first final, which she lost to Jason Line, and Erica
graciously went over and gave him a hug, but yesterday after treeing and outrunning Greg, he wasn't gracious enough to go to her, she had to walk down to his car, where he
reluctantly, hugged her. In his interview, he was just barely as gracious as he felt he needed to be,, in my opinion. My hat is off to her, she did well.

Re: I am sure you all know about Erica

:):) Congratulations to Erica on a job well done. Her crew did a great job of prepping the car, and she did a great job driving. Erica outqualified Greg and ran quicker each round. In fact her slowest E.T. was better than Greg's best. It was her time to shine, and she did a great job of it. Probably hard for Greg to be "the one" , but still should have been there to congratulate Erica on a job well done. Erica definitely earned the win and should stand tall because of it. Just my 2 cents.

Victor Cagnazzi announced over the weekend that Dave Connolly will also be in a Pro Stock car for the last 7 races of the season starting at Indy and continuing throgh the entire Countdown. He is hoping that the data from both cars will help Erica during the Countdown.

I like the flat black, but they ought to add some flames in the GK colors.

Hey, I will always be known as Sheila Murray's first. I did point out to her that she enjoyed it more than I did.

All kidding aside, she is such a great lady and was so excited for her first win that I even got into the moment. There are certain people that make this special and she is one of them.

KB ? I'm outta the Pro Stock loop.

Re: I am sure you all know about Erica

As a diehard Mopar man, I pretty much lost interest in ProStock after the Wayne County speed Shop was "Broken Into" and "all the engines were destroyed". Having said that, as a casual fan, usually via the audio cast, I think that Erica's win will be a good thing for the sport. Whether NHRA notices is another question altogether....

Re: I am sure you all know about Erica

I guess I don't have one real favorite in Prostock. There are some great teams and racers out there. I think it is good that Erica beat one of the best in her first victory. Just the fact that we are reading and writing about it proves it. We can be a fickle bunch here on the internet too. :)
I thiink it is good to see so many have a legit shot at winning. It keeps the class active and it is more interesting. Adding Connelly will mix it up even more. He seems to find a way to the winner's circle.

This is true. Connelly in a car with some Cagnazzi power will be a real contender! Jim
