Well we are on our way! We won't arrive until around 7 this evening. Does anyone know if they are parking anyone today besides the All-Stars? The main question today is how long do you think it will take the Emmons's to park their rig??

Are we still entering on Schweitzer road via the Nascar track? Any body who is there, please respond!

After reading the article, we guessed the triplets gave individual instructions and being in the rig he didn't know it wasn't the same one when he looked out the window or in the mirror!

I left at 1 or so and they weren't parking anyone including allstars. I went in gate 4 but don't remember the street name. they have signs out with directions.

Very hot weather expected on thursday...

Maximum temperatures will reach or slightly exceed 100 degrees for the majority of northern illinois and northwest indiana on thursday. Dewpoints will also be high... Making it feel like 100 to 110 degrees outdoors.

To minimize the threat of excessive heat exposure... Take frequent breaks during any strenuous outdoor activity... Preferably in an air-conditioned location. If possible reschedule these activities during the cooler early morning or evening hours. Stay hydrated with non- alcoholic fluids... Preferably water... And wear light fitting loose clothes. Provide shelter from the sun and water for pets. Do not leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle... Even for a minute.

Yes, it is supposed to be over 100 on Thurs, but at home it is going to be 102-104 from Thurs until Monday. At least it is only 90's the rest of the weekend.

If you are coming up from the south on I-57 and you get off at exit 327, there is a bridge out and a detour, but just follow the detour. It is not out of the way at all and no problem. The competitor parking area is marked very well. You DO NOT get off on Schweitzer Road. You go to Larraway and come in Gate 4. It is all very well marked.

They have not parked anybody yet. The schedule shows to begin at 10. There are lots of people already here. Looks like it will be mid afternoon before we get in with all that is ahead of us. At least I don't have to get up early!

We are here too!!!! YAY!!!

We are with Tony's car only, but looking forward to seeing everyone with our extra free time having to run just one car. Hope to have time to take some pictures as well. Don't know how much 'reporting of news' I can contribute as I will be glued to Alex's side (whether he likes it or not! LOL) but I am sure we will get some juicy gossip from someone!

It's very very windy here, don't have the guage out but I suspect it's a 15 mph steady and gusting to 20+. Be careful if you are driving here!

Too bad we aren't on the track today, it would be a nice tail wind.... :)

Yes the lines are moving! We got here about 8:15 last night and we are almost up to the road ready to cross over. It was a really cool night here. Pleasant this morning though it is calling for 94 later today. It is a little breezy of course, but that helps cool off a little.

I will see everyone tomorrow my car is gonna be there sometime tonight but the driver will not be there until later tomorrow hoping to get atleast 2 qualifying shots since they dont do clean-ups atleast not that im aware of that they do. See everyone tomorrow!!

I think they are giving Stock,SS etc. 3 runs on thursday according to the one schedule i saw on the NHRA page.

We are in and parked with evening shade! There is a steady stream of rigs coming in. They are teching until 6 and yes we are supposed to get 3 runs tomorrow, then 1st round on Friday morning.

Its just like a father to be proud, I guess. Alex was asked by Auto Imagery this weekend to shot photos for them. He will be on the starting line all weekend long. Someone help keep an eye on him, he doesnt always know when to drink water and stay hydrated!!

Well it is already 82 this morning headed for 101 by the end of the day! They have called Super Street up and we are on stand-by. Looks like this is going to be a day for lots of water and gatorade.

Congrats to Matt Forbes on the birth of his daughter yesterday and to the proud Grandpa David!

We are parked across from some Super Gas racers and if they are up making as much noise at 1 am tonight as they were last night, they may have some Stockers to deal with! I know we are all here to have fun, but let's be reasonable~

I think Uncle Dean is proud, too!

Stock just made their first run, but we won't be on the sheets. We were leaking transmission fluid so we didn't get the run. He has it fixed, but we lost the run. I think Bo Butner is # 1 at -.95. Slate Cummings #2 at -.95 or vice versa. There were a lot of cars in the wrong class on the boards, so it may take a while to get it sorted out and posted on DRC.
