Las Vegas Points race.
 

I'm riding the Harley out to Vegas and thought I might stop in at the points race. Anyone know the run schedule for Friday? Only interested in Stock/Super Stock.

Stock is first out at 8AM. SS is fourth out. Then a couple classes and Stock Q2. Then about five classes and SS Q2. After that they will run the S/SS combo.

Actually, Raybourn's old car is pitted across from me. I just assumed he was driving it. Somebody else could be driving it though. You'll have to ask a real reporter. :)

Cannan beat Dourlet heads up Rd #2. Dourlet qualified with a 10.495. Anybody have the ET's on this pairing?

Also, Cannan's # is T700. What is "T" for? I've never seen that on a Stock Eliminator car.

I don't have the ETs, but when NHRA runs out of numbers for a category they use letters. You see this a lot in Super Comp. Although the numbers are issued with the letter in the first position, most people put it in the last position like 639A. He also might have requested that number, I don't know.

Could the odd number be a Temp # that he got from Mike
Rice at the races.....we have done that before when we have
recruited a buddy to drive one of out fleet!

John in his 64 Plymouth appeared to have a HUGE Holeshot!

Is his car a Wedge or Hemi I wonder?

I spoke to John today. John ran a 10.50 & the other guy was backing into him with a 10.28? Pretty sure that was the number. John knew he was going to get beat no matter what he did to spice up the engine.
John has a single 4bbl HEMI in that '64 Savoy. I'm pretty sure that this weekend was his first 1/4 passes with this combo (he used to run a MW in "A", both stick and auto catagories). He made a few 1/8 mile passes while living in TX.

Some numbers are issued with the letter at the beginning,some at the end. Michael Brand has 505B in Stock to match his ET number he`s had for several seasons.

Well, with the amount of views my stock and super stock videos from the Vegas divisional have gotten, it looks like I made the right decision last year to stop posting them. I will only post videos of Don this weekend. At least his videos are getting watched.
