Requesting Assistance from the ClassRacer.com Gang...
Hi, folks!
I'd like to ask for the help of the board in corralling the teams who plan to compete in the SuperCar Showdown at the ADRL season-opener at Baytown on March 30-31, (Friday and Saturday). The ADRL pre-entry process has proven excellent but I have received a dozen or so "second-hand" notices of cars/teams planning to run the event but who have not officially sent confirmation of their plans. If any of you know teams who plan to go, please have them contact me so arrangements can be made. I can be reached at BRETKEPNER@Prodigy.net. The "arrangements" which need to be made concern parking for the teams and rigs. Back in December, we decided to park the SuperCar Showdown teams where they are the first vehicles visible to the fans when they enter the pits. The SCS cars will be the first to interact with the spectators to both showcase the machines and help with any souvenir sales for the entries. Nobody will be parked in the "north forty" at these events. Because we plan to arrange the SCS pits in direct correlation to the manufacturers' midway, we REALLY need to know how many cars to expect beyond the current entries and we need to figure trailer size into the equation. By the way, the SCS is already prominently featured in the TV and radio advertising for the race and they're even the headliner on the event T-shirts! Also, we'll be opening up entries this week for ADRL events at Bristol (TN) April 20-21 and Maple Grove (PA) May 4-5 so please spread the word on this, as well. Thanks for your help. I'm just trying to organize the first race as best we can. |

We already have enough for the field. It's the stragglers I need to have contact me.
Thanks for the....ummm..."enthusiasm". LOL! By the way, are you planning to run any of the east coast races, Bo? |
Re: Requesting Assistance from the ClassRacer.com Gang...
Well if they don't show up for a deal where they're treated like professionals, then shame on them.

Re: Requesting Assistance from the ClassRacer.com Gang...
Bret , I will make every race that does not conflick with my NHRA schedule , I will attend all of the east coast races for sure . Im very happy to be going back to heads up racing and look forward to supporting ADRL . I would have love to make the Houston race but my wife put the clamp's on me , family first . Plan on contacting ADRL to get my membership this week.
( I do think the weight on the mopar is a little light ) |
Re: Requesting Assistance from the ClassRacer.com Gang...
Come on now Bo...If the Mopar's are light the the mustangs are under factored. U mean to tell me that a supercharger can't make up 150lbs?? Ok Mr. 9.22 lol...... Hope all is well Mr. Bo.

Re: Requesting Assistance from the ClassRacer.com Gang...
Joey , really looking forward to seeing you and your Dad . 9.26@NHRA legal weight then take out 200 lbs = 9.06 , for some reason that sounds a lot better then 9.22 . But maybe my math is off . Tell your dad to bring plenty of good food to Bristol
|
Re: Requesting Assistance from the ClassRacer.com Gang...
My father bring good food is a maybe but I promise he will have COLD beer and a variety of "beverages" to make martinis. Lol.. And on the 9.26 we can only take 45lbs out. We have to weigh 3445 in BB/SA. I wish we could take 200lbs out. No matter what we WILL have fun buddy!! But we both know 150lbs isn't much for a supercharger to over come.

Re: Requesting Assistance from the ClassRacer.com Gang...
Same for me in BB/SA at the gator my weight was 3610 so we can take out another 60lbs for adrl but I will have to cut off a leg or arm . Martinia's sound real good . I will bring some pineapple as I make a very mean pineapple martinia that has a great affect . See you soon .

Re: Requesting Assistance from the ClassRacer.com Gang...
Will the new Shelby Mustang be accepted into this program; USA Today, 3/28 had an article on a heavily massaged 1000HP Mustang, offering 100 Street units set at 950HP. Expensive, but many exotic Supercars are.
Game Changer? |
Re: Requesting Assistance from the ClassRacer.com Gang...
Unfortunately my itty bitty little 5.7 hemi can't compete with the big boys, and certainly not against the blown Musties, so we won't be playing in that sandbox...
But I will be watching closely to see if our 6.4, (if Darton ever finishes the sleeves....) will be competitive... David The New Hemi Guy |
