Yeah.....And most guys with cars that fit the class like Top Stock would never show up even before the crate engine joke.

Bo Stock is back , way to go Jeff. Althought when ADRL approached me back in the summer about this same ideal , I posted for cars on this site and the only one who wanted to race was Bo Butner. Maybe we will have better luck this time since its a brand new ideal.

Being new to Drag Racing and owning a CJ I think this new class is going to be great. I can't wait.

A lot of cars at first then as the have's move ahead of the have nots the field will get smaller, the have nots will have figured out they can't win so they will just not go!
Like days of old, AHRA GT 1 GT 2 GT 3, IHRA GT, Super Modified, Factory Mod and Top Stock!

I bet 99% of the guys with these cars are not in the "Have Nots" category. LOL.
Some may not have the desire to get beaten by the racers that really sort out their combos on a level playing field, but hey, that's racing right?

I think it is a positive step and will at least provide an option for some heads up racing instead of the situation they have now. Heck 1/8th mile won't be much of a change for a lot of these cars. Most of them have to lift at the 1/8th mile anyway.

Hope some guys go there and do some hard racing with their cars! There certainly are some good ones out there.

Any bets on how long it takes the Hemi Racers from Parma to Dominate? I hear there is allready some development going on. Looks like it will be real expensive to participate and even more expensive to win.

In case you had not noticed the Hemi boys from Pa. have started to show what those drag paks can do. Keep on eye on the Al Carp A/SA Challenger this season.

I think the 1/8 mile is a bad choice,dragracing is 1/4 mile except for jr dragsters

At the weight breaks Jeff as proposed the Mopars will have the advantage . The car David Barton drove at INDY can go 9.0 at 3250 lbs and I will bet a few other can as well . At 3650 9.20 is about as fast as a SC mustang can run with the small blower.

Keep NHRA weights and rules and run them heads up, I'm also favor 1/4 mile look what 1/8 mile racing has done to IHRA sportman racing . Still looks like fun and I will attend a few races

How quick can Fezell go? It would be pretty cool to see him come out and run. Stick is still an option right?

Fezzel went 9.386 all out at Indy at 3801lbs . Take off 150lbs = 9.24, he was the fastest CJ at Indy . Skillman 9.41 , Butner 9.44

They will be racing 1/8 mile.
