Speaking of winter work, what are your winter projects

I'm going to rewire the camaro, and possibly change EFI systems. Other than that just normal maintenance, and get ready for the first of the year. What's everyone else doing thid winter?

My car is at Eastexas Race Cars, Vic & Dewayne Custer are back halving it and installing a motor plate. Big tires and no more rubber motor mounts. Just like a real SS car. LOL

Block is at Patterson's getting bored for 50mm roller cam bearings & honed, and new pistons made. It's only money, right?

I will be getting my stocker ready for IHRA Div 9 in 2012, will be taking one of my 327's to Warren Racing Engines in Clinton, NC, for a freshen up.

I also decided to take one of my street/strip '68 Camaros to Rinehart's Performance in Thomasville PA to be transformed into a super stock ready piece. Putting in a cage and making suspension mods, will probably have Warren's build a small block for that ride too. Would love to make some noise and smell some smoke with that car before the end of 2012.

Are these the same guys that ran a Firebird in C/SM out of David's shop?? In the end, I think you'll be very happy with the upgrade. Now you just need new wheels???? tires, cam and valve springs. Gain= .04 to .06 Great move !!!!!! Congrats !!!!

working on my SSDI collection only need 70 more issues to complete 1967 through 1979, and I still have 5 more boxes yet to be open. Going to build at least 3 models, work on my "All time NHRA Comp-Mod entry list" (I'm up to 1975). and last but not least get the new golf cart ready for yellow paint and find someone to help find or fix my radiator on the Nitro Lounge. Plus getting up before Dr Phil show every morning.

When I first started racing I used to think that winter time was when you could slack off, save up money and get ready for the next season. In truth, winter time is when you spend the most, upgrading and looking for more et because you know that when the season begins at the Winternationals everyone will be locked and loaded and dialed on kill and you had better be ready..

Joe,, don't suppose I need to tell you,,,check out Ebay to help fill out the SS&DI collection. 3 years ago I pulled mine out of the attic and realized I was missing only 28 issues from the entire 1964-1999 run,,mostly before '74 when my subscription started. My collection started with issue no.2,,since then I've picked up four no.1s. It took about a year to get it finished as I passed on many that weren't in near perfect condition. Swap meets helped a little too. Got them bagged, boarded, and boxed for protection now,,wife thinks I'm nuts,,,she'll never understand.
I've got extras if you want to fire off a list,,,maybe I can help. I've enjoyed your all time lists that were posted in the past,,,take care.

Most expensive winter I can remember in a long time. Maybe now I won't have to de-tune it to hook it. Don't know if the big cam core will be worth anything.
If I get .06, that's only about $1800.00 per hundredth. LOL

Finishing the body on the Buick and hopefully throwing some more power at it. That means I get my quality bonding time with my car.

It may not have a slide out, but it probably has several "fall offs"
