Elaine Jennings dies 10/13/11
 

My mom died at 2:20 pm Thursday. She was at home with her caregiver, Dad, Stephen, my aunt Wanda (who is a doctor) and me. She had battled Alzheimers for several years. We buried her yesterday afternoon. Cards may be sent to my Dad, Jerry Jennings at 200 Forest Avenue, Landrum, SC 29356. She was 74 years old, and they had been married for 53 years.

Im so sorry Stacie to hear this. I remember her well when I was working with IHRA. May God rest her soul.

So sorry lost my Dad in 08 my best friend never forget him either sure the same for you buy you will get through it it is tough though!

May the love and strength that you all share get you through this difficult time. My mother lived with this horrible disease for 8 years and it definitely takes it toll on the entire family.

Stacie, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mom has been a fixture at IHRA races as long as I can remember. She will be missed by all...our prayers are w/ you all during this difficult time.

I'm sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed going to the stands ,at the Rock, when SS was qualifying and seeing your Mom "at work".

I'll keep your family in my prayers, I always enjoyed watching Jerry's car,never remember seeing Jerry out and about at the track that Elaine was not with him.

Stacie we are so sorry for your loss but we know that your mama is no longer suffering and she is walking the streets of gold which is the greatest comfort of all. She endured a terrible disease that actually took her from you all a few years back. Please know that you and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers. We will see you in a couple weeks when we come home for a visit.

Sorry to hear this Stacie. Your mom was a trooper. I just picture her & your daughter riding the golf cart to the stands to watch when either you, your dad or your brother made a run.

I know your whole family suffered much during her sickness.

Hope things will be better for you now.
