7 second Mustang SS'er

Andrew called me today and told me he saw a video, shot today of Tasca's SS Mustang that went 8.06 at 170 something. 7's are not far away.

John Gallina went in the 7 second zone ten years ago with a SS car and it only had 6 holes . Old news Greg.

Re: 7 second Mustang SS'er

John Gallina's Buick GNX (SS/DX) was not a traditional Super Stock car. It was an MX modified car. Hardly a valid comparison.

Re: 7 second Mustang SS'er

Looks like he leaves low enough to let the engine bog and just drives it out........

I wonder what the ET would be if he got the suspension & clutch working good enough to leave with some power at 7000 RPM???????????????????????????????????????

Pretty fast SS car.......

Come on Kev.. You are not going to dispute the reality of the video now, are you?

I noticed he didn't pull the chute and he went through top end on the rev limiter.

It's amazing what that Whipple blower will do. That car hasn't even been backhalved. Still has small tires.

Bo Kenney

Bo, do you know the name of the fellow who has gone 7.90's? Is the Texas car still untubbed?
The Tasca's are great people. My money is he will run in the 7's before the snow flies!!

The Tasca crowd is a great bunch out to have fun with there cars. It seems they could care less about running NHRA (other than Bob of course).

Is there anyone who has SS cobra jet that is setup like a real SS car,I have'nt seen many in person but all I've seen is the ones that roll off the starting line like my 2.2 S10 from a stoplight.
Has anyone heard that Fred Henson was building Cobra jet I heard it a year ago did'nt know if was true or he did'nt have done yet.

Is Fred Henson building a Mustang beast for SS/A in the near future? I was told this in Napierville this past season." DOCTOR" Wescott from the " LIONS DEN" in Parma, Michigan has his hand in this project. My GOD it's very nice to see that a GM guy is so helpful to the MOPAR and FOMOCO camps to show them the correct direction. --- LOL

I think one of them is red and it's real fast.

I don't believe either is red.....lol

One is blue...the other I'm not sure of the color.........

ours is a lowly SS/DA car....these new cars are SS/A and SS/AA both incredible

looking...

That Red one is a toad....couldn't even win class in Indy...
