RIP Lynn Nickerson
At 6:55 this morning Lynn passed away. His pain is gone and I know he's moved on to a wonderful place. A most amazing person to all, and a very good friend to me. You will be missed my friend, you will be missed.
RIP, Unk |

Re: RIP Lynn Nickerson
I echo the thoughts of Bob U. and Big Jeff and the others about Lynn. He and I have been good friends for a number of years and up until his health problems got so severe, we would spend considerable time on the phone discussing his quest to become an even better announcer.
There are very few in this world like Lynn and I cherish the time that we have been friends. My thoughts and prayer go out to his family. MaC |
Re: RIP Lynn Nickerson
So sorry to hear this. Lynn was a man with very special tallents. His abillity to communicate with his audience, whether it be many thousands of people or face to face, was extrodinary. Although his home was in D-4, he was at home in any tower across the country. He will TRULEY be MISSED. R.I.P. MY FRIEND .

One of the greatest men I have ever had the pleasure knowing, always smiling, never had anything bad to say, a true role model. You will forever live in our hearts.
With all the knowledge he's taking with him, God will sure learn about sportsman racing! Rest in piece Lynn. |

Re: RIP Lynn Nickerson
I'm gonna miss Lynn. I don't think he ever met anyone he didn't like and he was always glad to to see and greet everybody who crossed his path. He was always upbeat, even when he was battling cancer for the second or third or fourth time. I never heard him say anything unkind about anyone and I cannot recall anyone ever saying anything bad about Lynn. The Division Four family just isn't going to be the same without him.
Please excuse me for going on a bit here, but I won't be able to make it to Lynn's memorial service next week because I have to go to Michigan for a memorial service for my sister, who lost her battle with cancer a couple months back. Like Funny Car and Jet Dragster driver Dick Rosberg, who lost his battle with cancer yesterday, she donated her organs for medical research, so we were not able to have a service immediately after her death. Godspeed, Lynn. Be sure to look up Dick and my sister Carolynne, they are good people too. |
