LIVE from Norwalk D3 race
Well..... it's 3:46 pm and mother nature complied. Only one brief spitting of rain around 1pm but only 15 mins of downtime. We just finished 2 rds of qualifying for stock and ss, and all super categories. Cleanups have just been called to the lanes.

Well.... mother nature finally caught up with us at 9:00pm tonite.
Stock ran their special night time qualifying run at 8pm and the skys grew dark. SS was in the lanes, but the track decided to run their jet car show (2 funnys, 2 rails, and Bob Motz' kenworth) first because of the approaching weather. Luckily, (with very black skys rolling our way), the rain held off until we could get all but 9 of the SS'ers down the track with our third pass of the day. I would have never bet that we could get all 3 in today!.... but we did! here are a few more shots from today..... Im at the track now hoping to fall asleep. We made the decision about 1pm today to bring a friends car an run super comp. Just missed the 2nd time run today and he has never ran tthis car on the stop. But this guy is one guy i would go racin with in these conditions and expect to go rounds. I hope to have my fwd stocker at the next d3 race. Ive had it out testing, and im happy with the numbers. Feel free to stop by anyone. Look for a pink/black dragster called the Panty Dropper.

1050am... stock and ss qualifying is in the books. (we got our runs in this morning without any weather issues).
I had 74, 66 hum, and 2880 baro at 10am with a slight crosswind. Stockers just got called to the lanes for rd 1. |
