Attention sportsman racers

Get ready for a major announcement from the American Drag Racing League. This came from Bret Kepner which I would say is a reliable source.

I believe the major announcement is that ADRL is having a 4 car TS exhibition @ the Maple Grove event this weekend. This brings the possibility of them adding TS to their mix of doorcar classes.

If that's the case shouldn't it be posted in the TS/TD section?Doesn't affect us in any way.

I would not classify that as a "major announcement" if TS is what you are refering to.........Unless its Topstock.

I agree Ed, I guess Herb posted before the details were given on ADRLs site.

Yes I did post it earlier, but I also know there is an event in the works that will be very racer friendly, no memberships, pre entries, NO being treated like crap........stay tuned. Oh yea and its not one event, its many.

When Herbie posts a cryptic note, he usually knows something... I'm content to sit and wait for the good news!

I have heard from a few that the ADRL is not the place to be! I heard rules change from round to round. Anyone else hear that?

Re: Attention sportsman racers

Not really there are no rules over there. Kenny is the one who started it and he was very strict on his safety stuff and keeping fans safe. As far as round to round I dont see Kenny being that way at all. I had a long conversation with him at Troy Humphries event back in January and he is a very good guy with good intentions for the sport.

ADRL is a VERY nice bunch of people. A close friend of mine runs the pro nitrous class and says he LOVES it !! The only bad thing he said about it is if you're out, or don't qualify, you can't pack up and go home. You have to stay until it's over, or you get fined, and can't run like the next couple of races.

Agreed, I don't care for that myself. If I'm out, I'm usually ready to leave.

Pretty sure NHRA has the same policy for the Pro,s. Any chance theirs is only for the pro classes?

I think so far everything they run has a "Pro" name in front of it.... I'm not sure.

No, they don't. Many of the NHRA pros cut out Sat evening if they don't make the show.
