POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
Pick the option which most closely matches your current viewpoint .
1, I would support independent S/SS combos, IHRA Divisionals, Lucas Oil races ,and National events in my area. It doesn't matter to me. I just love to race S/SS. 2, My car is too valuable to race locally. I can't justify racing it unless it's for big money at National events. (You can use this option ,even if you have not yet cashed in at The Big One, but think you are way overdue, and the next one might be it) 3, I'm addicted to Wallys. 4, I've been enhanced right to the sidelines, either for this year or permanently. Sorry, this was supposed to be an anonymous poll. I had to edit down my choices ,and I then exceeded the 5 minutes allowed to submit it in poll form . I'll leave it up for now , just to see what happens |
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
Mark I'm a toss-up between 1 and 4.
I don't have any decent tracks less than 200 or so miles away nhra took a lot of the fun out of it for me. I liked to go fast and win class, and count the contingency money (LOL) |
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#4
|
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
I don't have a stocker anymore. I race in the .90 classes but I would go with #1.

#1 leaning towards #4 until my economy improves
|
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#1, but #4 could become an option.
|
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
I'm a 1, but NHRA is pushing me toward a #4.....

I'm about to put thousands into my car to make improvements within the rules, and I love the challenge of extracting the best performance from the limitations on components, just like the Pro classes do. I just want NHRA to show the same consideration to us for the effort and $$$ it takes to be competitive... I could always spend half the money and go twice as fast in the brackets, but the strive for technical excellence would be missing. |

Marvin,if that's what you're expecting I think you're going to be sorely dissapointed.I'd sit out this year.2011 is going to be a pivotal year for NHRA. |

Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#4 Old car not competitive against the new car hp factor's.
|
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
I have to laugh at # 2 and #3.
|
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#1. I race anywhere and everywhere, as often as I can.
|
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#1 (As my budget allows)

Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#1
See my comments in "another low car count" post about #4's. |
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
I'm a #1 but a #4 were NHRA is concerned. I'll be towing the 200 miles up the canyon to Ashcroft twice to race stock in IHRA this year instead of the 100 miles to race at NHRA's three event's in Seattle.. I'm already counting the money I'll be saving. . . . . .
P.S I'm still waiting for that jacket NHRA owes me, Anyone wanna make any bet's on when I'll get it? |

Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#1 without the national event option.
No desire to race at national events. |
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#1 except no NHRA National events.
|
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#1 there are several tracks around us from 1 1/2 hrs to 4 1/2 hrs that have events that fill the summer racing weekends(combo races, divisionals) ,with epping going nhra that means i dont have to have that membership ,,,,thats my take gmonde

Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
4 for now.
|
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#1 except for Nat'ls. Between "enhancements" and economy, its more of a 4 than ever.
I'll be lucky to do 2 div's this yr, maybe just 1. I will try to do a combo if possible. |
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#4 Next step for the Skyhawk will be Super Pro
|
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
I am in the process of spending thousands on a low class stocker so I can be a #1.
When NHRA replaces stock and superstock with the unleashed cars I will change the motor and keep racing, I love the class racing challenge but I love racing more. I intend to race as much as I can in whatever time I have left. |
Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
I fit #1

Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
#1 if I can get past all the problems of late. Was hoping to make it to Sportsnats this weekend but that ain't happening. Just getting trans back in car and still waiting on Moser to send me a 12 bolt 33 spline spool instead of the 35 spline 9" Ford spool that came with my spool & axle kit. And so it goes this season.

Re: POLL: S/SS Attitudes in 2011
