Sounds like the backwards hat guy on Unleashed....if you watched any of those shows you'd know you have to turn off the volume. Turned it off and I'll be content to check with DRC occassionally...

Not even bothering to listen.

Rick & Larry @ DragRaceCentral will tell me what I need to know. No offense to my fellow announcers, but this weekend was hard on the ears for myself and numerous others that passed their comments on. Frey & Alan were at their normal level of quality, but after that it fell off quickly.

As I suspected it's the same guy who did the Unleashed series that aired last fall. The "bang shift" site had some technical videos that gave his name as Chad Reynolds. As much as we don't like his style he probably appeals to the younger set that NHRA is seeking to draw via Unleashed and focusing on fuel cars. Just another sign of NHRA marketing for those besides us, the older set who are going to race regardless and thus pay the bills.

Don't you see? They are just trying to run you off . Doing everything in the book till you are gone...... Can't do you like they did the Pro stock trucks (???)....It ain't their fault you are still hanging around....lol.... OK bash me now !!!! Just saying ........Sad for dragracing class racing..

I also noticed he was announcing reaction times on a regular basis just after the cars left the starting line.

As someone who has announced alot, I can tell you talking bad about a driver or his wife is a definate NONO. Yes I have said who had the advantage on RT, after the run, but never in a negative way. There is a tasteful way of doing it and noone is better than Bob and Alan.

Trace would be the right person to complain to...or just send to their general inbox as directed on the contact list, that's what I did. I can live with colorful, giving reaction times after launch and giving the potential advantage to someone at the stripe is just flat wrong!
