Re: Practice Trees
I setup an online practice tree for those interested in practicing while in front of a computer. It isn't necessarily made for practicing with electronics (no delay box option) and obviously there is no pedal for us foot-brake racers (just a mouse), but to get your eyes and mind used to seeing the tree and the lights - I think it is okay.
http://www.dragtracker.com/practice-tree/ Let me know if you have any feedback for it - I haven't had too much activity on it since I launched in late January, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks! |
Re: Practice Trees
I got some feedback and have been working on a few things. But until they are ready to release, I went ahead and created a tree that has the blue LED staging bulbs instead of the yellow bulbs. Give it a try - let me know what you think.
http://www.dragtracker.com/practice-tree/?LED=1 (Full Tree) http://www.dragtracker.com/practice-...-400.php?LED=1 (Pro Tree) Thought it would be fun to roll this out before the NHRA race in Charlotte. Speaking of which - would anyone be interested in practicing on a tree made for 4-wide? :D Thanks! Leroy |
Re: Practice Trees
When I change the rollout ,it goes back to the default after the tree comes down. How can I change rollout permanently?

Re: Practice Trees
Thanks 442OLDS for the feedback - you found a bug . It has now been FIXED! I was able to get the rollout to "stick" between rounds so you should be able to adjust it once, and have it work during your session. I appreciate the feedback!

Re: Practice Trees
Get the foot pedal(s) if you footbrake. Using the thumb switch only will contribute to losing...
I have had a PortaTree for a few years. Both Biondo and PT support this site. Clark |
Re: Practice Trees
My wife was cool enough to buy me the Biondo final round version IV practice tree with the foot pedal for Christmas. Very adjustable, almost too adjustable for a footbrake guy.

Just for kicks,I put .490 rollout in the left and .190 rollout in the right. My lights were .227 and .220 I think the rollout is the same in each lane.I would have expected a redlight with a .190 rollout. |
Re: Practice Trees
I love my Biondo Racing practice tree. No doubt about it - it gave me the seat time needed to get comfortable and used to seeing the tree when I was just starting out. Especially being able to stagger the tree for handicapped racing - there is something unnatural about a staggered tree with 10.85 vs an 11.00 ... the only way to make it comfortable is to see it over ... and over ... and over :)
Hey 442OLDS - you were right! AGAIN! Can't thank you enough for testing out the tree. In the code, it was failing to update the rollout for the right lane ... it was using the left lane's rollout. Nice catch. Bug is fixed. Hey - anyone up for a Challenge? http://www.dragtracker.com/practice-...w_it_works.php My username is "leroy" :D |
