Finally see what's proposed with the addition of Unleashed, other than that no big surprises (at least not what I can spot on a iPhone in the airport).

That is sad. Alky trash gets $3000 with 8 cars in each catagory and most likley no entry fee. Even if they do have to pay an entry they STILL are not worth the waste of track time. Wonder what they would do if there were only 8 stock or S/S cars who showed up.The regular classes gets $1000 for a $160 entry except for S/ST . Those guys bite it even worse. Even the T/S and T/D cars get more bang for the buck at $1500. The "UnGlued" cars get $1000 for a $100 entry. Who do you think is getting SCREWED the most ? The hand writing is on the wall so how long are you going to take it in your shorts without getting "Kissed".

I see the unleashed payout stayed the same but the entry fee doubled from $50 to $100. A nice enhancement. Welcome to the club! Jim

Wow, I can go 5 rounds and not get my entry fee back. And the LODRS Contingency link is still 'file not found'. Augh... this is going to be like going to work. At a real job.

i dont see how they are goin to get any participants with that entry fee vs payout.

Re: D2 has posted 2011 Purse and Bradenton info

If you want to look for a good thing. The index classes will warm the track before stock runs. Sorry that is the only good point I could find.
If you look at the payout structure the index classes run for the same winning purse but the payout stops at the semi's. So it is pretty much a all or nothing pay structure. Of course in stock you need to win 5 rounds to get your money back so it is not a lot better.

i apologize for being a little lazy for not reading all of the threads that have 50+ reply's so maybe i missed something, but where did the index classes come into play?

I don't think they think they're going to get 60 cars per Index class... they need 20 cars just to break even on the purse in each of those classes. Supply and demand. They know that they're not going to draw twice as many cars even if it's $50. They're hoping to cover their purse with a little room to spare, and those guys may bring spectators/crew with them.

i have ran a number of index races in our area, I cant say for anywhere else, but 100 entry and 1000 payout, there were only 20 cars at the most to show up and alot of the guys were pissed. , now when we had 3000 payout,we had 60-70 7.0 cars and as many 6.0 cars. Between this and all the other hoopla thats goin on, it looks like the Fairlane will be parked for awhile and the mustang will get more racing...

Ya never know.....Look at all of the NHRA stock and super stock guys/girls plus the .90 cars who enter for the "Grade Points" just so they can become enhanced at the NHRA national events. Its not always about the $$$$$ as the index guys will get run for a Div. Championship.

hey i can bring my ugly dirty not a real race car crate motor and run the index class yay....... i think i can make a 11.40ish car go 12 0s

Looks to me like they have the Stock and Super Stock payouts screwed up. They have the winner getting $1000 and the runner-up $500. Then they have the 7th round loser getting $250. Well, the runner-up is the 7th round loser.

Michael ,What class is the car beside Brandon's run . Looks like Jeff Dobbins on the door . and looks like a new Challenger from the pic.?

I wonder if they will let you double enter. My car (junk) can barely run the index, but I know that it can run 12.0, it might be the better choice.
Casey Miles
248H Stock? Maybe be 12.0

Its cheaper and your chances of winning is about the same.....ZIP unless your lucky....LOL. Its always a crap shoot.

I'm thinking that there will be about 50 stockers and about 20 12.0 cars, which is the better bet? If I can run the index, chances are I can, it would still be marginable with little room to use shoe polish. Four speed against a .5 pro tree, I like my chances.

$160 entry --- 5th rd loser wins $150 I can't believe 50 stockers would do that, maybe 25 millionaires will oh and Ortiz will --- Kill em Ron!!!!

I will say as embarrassing as it is, NHRA did finally post the payout for the first time I can recall.

Damn....the Divisional payouts are really pathetic. If we get a 23 car field at one of our S/SS races, it pays $1,000 to win and $500 r/u. Plus higher round money throughout, with only $100 entry and 1-2 days less time away from home to do it.

People need to start supporting their local S/SS Combo races. In a few years, it might be all that's left.

I agree and Mike Carr along with Dave Ley have a good program even without the heads up runs, weight and fuel checks. Its about fun and racing with your friends at your local tracks like stock and S/S back in the 60's. Ahhhh....but you won't earn those all important ? grade points....LOL.

Re: D2 has posted 2011 Purse and Bradenton info

The alcohol classes have a combined purse of $13,200.
A lot of money for 2 classes that don't draw any spectators, but require a lot of
time to run, extra safety measures, and a hell of a lot of oil dry. And I'm sure add greatly to the insurance cost of an event.

And it only takes 82 1/2 other sportsman entries to pay their purse !

There just something wrong about one group of racers paying for another group of racers to race their cars.
