Who has the FASTEST Stocker ? ????
 

With all this 1,000 ft racing , Just to have a little fun..... I was just wondering who is really the fastest in each class (1/4 not 1,000) ,not just the new cars . Here's your chance to fess up and pat yourself on the back without getting HP..........My car under NHRA is a 50 under @ 1/4 mile (K/SA.).... Ok ,who's next on the amnesty list.....

Now this is a real hoot. I'll be one of the first and spill the beans. I can go -510 under.
It's real easy to do that with a 20mph tailwind and 35 dew point.

Now I know that alot of the people on this forum are upstanding honest individuals, and would not mind admitting to how fast they can really go. So come on, fess up. I know that you all would not hold back on this forum like you do at the 1,000 foot mark. Because you all are honest well meaning people.

IHRA's Fastest FF/SA car: '85 Turismo 2.2L (per Nitro Joe's Stats, with Eddie Bolton driving. Only -.38 under, but Eddie's ONLY a former World Champ and can't drive a car of this magnitude worth a d*mn) :rolleyes: Been -1.04 under at multiple non-sanctioned events (-.35 under the NHRA DF/S index... but new wheels will be here Friday!) Car is for sale.

The Volare went -1.04 under in I/CM this year. Had been -1.06 under before they hit the indexes this year. Engine is for sale (see Classifieds)

I'm not going to mention but one of the fastest stockers in the country is so far under the radar NOBODY has ever mentioned it on here. Its kinda funny with all the bitching about the new cars and this old one never qualifies number one, but rarely loses a heads up. Sorry guys cant spill it. He normally run 400lbs heavy just because he can.

Art Leong (EF/SA?) and Bob Shaw (U/SA) were both 2 seconds under the old Indexes in the past. Charles Blossom was -1.81 or so under at Indy this year in DF/S. In absolute speed/ET, Don Fezell has been 9.30's @ 146 in AA/S.

i appreciate being mentioned in ortiz's post... burt as far as under the index im pretty sure bob shaw and charles blossom are the two standouts... however thier accomplishments with actual real cars is overshadowed by the paper cars who dont exist except in NHRA's own little world...

i know bob is fast, he passed me twice in one race (and i was -1.15)... thats fast !

I was not implying anyone as being the fastrest, I was just a sayin that the people I mentioned would gladly reveal their true potential as they are fine upstanding citizens in the community, respected by their peers, and recognized in their field as leaders and envisionists. Not to mention finer drinking establishments and emporiums.

I mentioned these runs on another post 3 or 4 weeks ago, Don Fezzells AA/S car was at Mason Dixon in Hagerstown Md in early Nov. He made his two time runs, a 9.51 and 9.52. Speeds were at 147 mph. He bogged the first run and spun some on the second, high one thirties in 60 ft., 6.16 @ 116 mph in the eighth. If somebody is faster in stock, I don't know who it might be. On those two runs, he picked 31 mph from the eighth to finish line.

Just makin' sure you were out there reading... LOL And remember, you not only blew the 1-2 shift, but ALSO shifted 1st to 3rd. If I told you "My wife drives that car better than you!", it'd sound like a punchline... but she really does! The park job was pretty cool, though. :p

In 2008, i went 10:50's after they added the horsepower at Rockingham. Thats off the 12:20 index. Since then i figured out just how to slow it down enough so i dont piss off Baker anymore. (stock gt in IHRA 86 body 73 STOCKER engine).... BTW Larry, i was at the track when Hawk went 9:94 at legal B weight. (with his wore out engine)

Golf cart/ Stocker --now that's funny stuff! I wouldn't mind giving it another shot. That was the most fun I've had racing in a long time.

is this suppose to be a popularity contest or by the numbers, best ET, or best MPH, who is the biggest sand bagger, who ran B at L weight, who ran 11 yrs without freshing up a motor, lol. I've have not heard better stories since being at a SS/Stock cookout after adult beverages have taken affect.

Just let me know what the official Saturday night rules are to who has the fastest stocker?????????
