Not legitimate drag racing

Re: Pomona on Monday-Stock Eliminator

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Myself when it comes to bracket racing I personally have absolutely NO interest whatsoever in watching or participating in it---If that is what you like to do fine I respect that but it is not something I choose to be involved in. I also like Nascar and when the NFL games are on I watch Nascar as opposed to football---Does not make me a bad person its just what I happen to like. I also do not like peppermint or eggplant but some people do. I still am of the opinion that ALL Bracket racing and that includes SG or S Comp is not legitimate drag racing.
Now as far as the Stock and Super Stock competitors that raced and may even have won Congradulations on a job well done. Comp 387

Just wondering how you guys feel about this statement. I think Stock and super stock has been bracket racing for many years.

I don't care for your opinion....

maybe select some other words.....you're posting in the 890-990 forum...a heads up bracket.....

you know the most popular classes.....

everybody is entitled to their opinion but take it somewhere else...otherwise you are

going to get negative responses on this forum....

Maybe if you tried it you might have a different opinion......

Trying to understand the point of the post. Picking a fight?

I think anyone who doesn't like bracket or index racing doesn't really understand it. Too hard for their tiny little brains to handle.

There, that's an opinion.

No need to bash Joey Dee on this topic, he just reposted it from the Stk/Super Stk form. I guess according to some people the whopping 28 brackets cars and .90 guys are a waste of time at National Events and are a Circus. Guess he didn't notice the Nostalgia Funny Cars, Top Fuels and other stuff they had there. I was watching ESPN3.com towards the finals and knowing they were on a strict 6pm curfew they decided to run the Nostalgia T/F cars down the track.....guess what both of them blew up at about 1,000 feet and oiled down the track which caused at least a 30 minute down time. If it wasn't for that they could have finished the race that day and not Monday. So before he throws the bracket racers (The Backbone of Drag Racing) under the bus he should look at some of the other things they have there taking up time which are not NHRA Eliminators.

Perhaps the way to argue this is to point out the numbers. Bracket/index categories represent the vast majority of racers, by a huge amount. There are over 500 racers who earned division points in these classes in D6, compared to 22 in the two heads up alcohol class. That's a 20:1 ratio. Guess who's providing the funding to keep NHRA alive?

opinions are like A$$H**E$ everyone has one. If you think .90 racing is not a legitimate class, then obviously you are an UN-EDUCATED ignorant spectator that doesn't own a race car. And if you didn't notice Stock and super stock IS BRACKET RACING you dip****.

So why dont you stay home and watch football, drive around your "VOLVO", look up information on your "PALM PILOT" keep your pens in your "POCKET PROTECTOR" and relieve us of your stupidity!

P.S. dont get a "PAPER CUT"

Chris you may want to skip running for office if anyone ever says you should........Your Politically correct skills are lacking......could you use the term "pencil neck" next time somewhere in a post?

I like to call what we do as "Predicted lap making"......and in reality it really is not true drag racing......

Flat out first to the finishline true dragracing would not survive long.......

In fact, it did not. It was that way for a long time, and it became "he who has the biggest checkbook wins". That's why the classes we all love exist today.
