More specifically you just have to run on it or under.

Not for nothing but is that something to be that proud of?

Ed

I have no intention of only goin 1 thou under, was just trying to make the point. Problem is if I change classes for Indy I'd win class but wouldn't go far enough under to qualify. I think Ronnies Got me covered in EF/S this year. Decisions, decisions win class and not qualify or qualify and possibly lose class Hmmm.

Ed:
We've gone full circle and we are back where we were a few years back.
If single car class winners bump out cars that are 8.0 or 9.0 under but don't win class.

That's anything but sweet.

Like Ed said you just have to run on the index (on a class single) to get the oscar and contingencies. No more half a second under.
But that does not guarantee you a spot in the eliminator. It is still the quickest 128 cars.(to the index)

Just go for it, you never know he might break or have the slowest reaction time. I do not have the experience some of you guy's on here but I always looked at just another time trial for the one not running fast enough to win class, just getting ready for the first round(of course as long as your one of the 128th).CR

Well in "E" I'd be plenty fast to qualify. I'm worried about my Undefeated in Class Eliminations record. I'd kind of like to retire this car undefeated. I suppose it's not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things but it would be nice.

I believe when they do that they don't get a wally or contingency $$.You're just called class winner. You won't get rich on the contingency anyway.
My point about the .001 under is that it used to be a big deal to win class,at any event.
Now they've dumbed it down to the point where it isn't a big deal anymore, except if it's your first.
I usually have single runs when I run class, due to the fact there was only one other T car in
Div. 1.That car only came out sporadically. Now I understand two more are in the works.I welcome the challenge.

Dan Fletcher was listed as class winner at Brainerd...less than a tenth under.
Is Dan a disgrace to class racing:rolleyes: ?..or has this class win stuff become B.S.
(with the exception of Indy of course)

Please,Dan was that slow because he lifted early.Check out the MPH on class runoffs for an indicator of how quick a car potentially is.
You can stop rolling your eyes now.Crosseyedness is a result of eye rolling.:>):>)
