You're in for a treat this weekend (after you get past the construction!) At Pittsburgh Raceway Park in New Alexandria, PA, as you'll get a double-whammy... Not only a Saturday Pro-Am and a Sunday Sportsman Nat'l with national event contingency and a qualifying spot for the Tournament of Champions on the line, but also dueling reporters! Tom Sheehan and I have squared off, right off the bat in the first test n' tune run of the night. We'll have a S/SS gamblers tonight. Up on the hill, I'm showing 77 deg, 60%, 28.57B, 3328' DA, as of 5:40 pm

We're in PA, so maybe we'll get Matyas out here too! More later.

Michael -- There will be no sighting of me in New Alexandria this weekend as I'm headed to Atco, NJ and Dave Leys' Stock/SuperStock combo double header . And as you may not know Atco is the site where I won my first IHRA National event .


Also -- while you're there this weekend -- when you bump into Michael Tedesco ( track owner and operator ) please say hey for me - Michael and I have been both business and personal friends for more than fifteen years and I keep promising him I'll be out and something always comes in the way .

PS- Yep , I'll be the one on the New Jersey Transit train Saturday evening on my way to our home in Atlantic City for my birthday celebration .And yes , I get senior citizen price on the train .

Got a lucky win 1st rnd win in the gamblers against a neat blue and black C/SA RoadRunner. Only about 12-20 S/SS in the race... Didn't get a firm count.

Getting cool out... Good! Need some air, cuz there's no barometer!

Heard that John Boyer, who won the recent Pro-Am at Jackson, won the Gamblers race last night.

Sunny skies and a barometer that's a tenth better than yesterday, which meant a tenth in ET for my lil' front driver! :). Looks like a pretty good crowd!

44 cars in Stock. Got by first rnd over Ken Friedman, .028 and taking .009... Darroch over Gene Jordan, Klacik over Knott, Dave Turner with a red light win, Kieffer's red, Laverne Eberst over Frank Vincent's Mustang... 'Bout all I got to see...

Took loads of finish line photos of Super Stock, which I'll process and post when I get home.

Gettin' warm out, and the lil' car has its tongue hanging out, but made it past 2nd Rnd! Got a couple grins, thumbs up, and laughs on the return road. Everybody loves an underdog (Right Harry?). :). Down to 11 cars in Stock.

Chris Kilraine broke a pushrod, but they've got it replaced already and is riding around the pits.

Congratulations to Tim Worner for his SS win over Anthony Bertozzi. Heard AB rip it 2-3 times, and got behind at the stripe.

Nice turnout for all the classes this weekend. It was a lot better attended than the spring race was. Pittsburgh is a great facility (less the rocks) and the Tedescos food is always awesome!! But alas,I got busted first round so I left Beard at the track and Barbara and I are setting out on the veranda eating delmonicos and drinking dirty martinis......LIFE IS GOOD!!!!
