Paul Paige
Isn't it interesting the nonsense that seems to come from Paul Paige during the TV coverage of the National events........................................

Re: Paul Paige
The chiefs in Glendora don't want to spend money on the help, so this is what you get.

Re: Paul Paige
One of the worse commentator, many years ago friends of mine had a drinking game called Paul Page stupid things to say on the TV drinking game, unfortunately they had to quit since none could ever finish the game due to Paul openings his trap too many times.

Re: Paul Paige
Paige is such an NHRA "shill", he sugar coats anything negative, and side steps controversey. Dunn will come right out and tell the truth or says how he feels, and you can tell Paige is very uncomfortable with this because there is either silence, or he says something silly to blow it off.

Re: Paul Paige
Page should have stayed with the Indy cars & Snowmobiles.

Re: Paul Paige
Thank goodness for the mute button, cause its not worth listening to, but most of all not worth watching in the first place. Ever notice how politics play out the show, when ever has a rd 2 loser been interviewed unless your name is Force or good looking female driver or both the something.
Best thing i do anymore is find a good movie or even watch Madhouse, lol. |
Re: Paul Paige
All I have to say is if I saw one more angle of Matt Hagen and Jeff Diehl blowing up their bodies or Robert and Jeff Arend run into each other I was going to pull my hair out!

Re: Paul Paige
I always record the events and watch it a little later in the evening, when they start showing the same thing over & over or a commercial break comes I hit the fast forward button. I can watch the show in just over an hour.

Let's go down to the paddock.... we call it the pits here Paul.

Re: Paul Paige
Paul Paige was basically run out of IndyCar and for good reason. God I miss Steve Evans. I agree with making Mike Dunn the primary announcer...how bout Angelle Sampe to work with Dunn?

Probably would cry through the whole show.

Re: Paul Paige
I say put Alan Rinehart in the booth with Dunn and Frey.

Re: Paul Paige
I thought Paul would eventually learn the sport and do better. I guess I over estimated his ability. Maybe they should fly Gary Scelzi in to replace Paul? At least he was funny and entertaining. Bob Frey would be a big improvement too (and the crowd goes wild!).

Re: Paul Paige
I like the outside look that motorsports people not from drag racing bring.Parker Johnstone of Indy cars I thought did a great job,He had respect for NHRA drag racing and covered it well.I agree with Paige being a little to political in his coverage.Who I think would do a decent job covering the drags is Rusty Wallace. If he spent time at the drags I think his opinion from the NHRA would be transmitted to some of his Nascar followers, and give our sport more of the recognition it deserves.

Re: Paul Paige
There's a nice article on Steve Evans in the current issue of Vintage Motorsport magazine, May/June 2010.
