Jeff,

Thanks for the info. I am not racing the Firebird this year. I bought a '63 vette roadster to run in S/G-S/C. I will be hitting most of the Div 3 stuff, but I thought it would be fun to run with you guys a few times.

Having never raced with you folks, can someone tell me what the schedule usually is? When does everyone usually get there? Are the gates usually open late on Friday night if someone were to leave after work? Does the run schedule usually depend on the track? How many time runs?

Thanks!

Ryan, I heard all they do is drink Bush's beer , that's why they let him show up.

Other than May 15th at Route 66, all the other dates will have a race on saturday, and then another on sunday. Most of the time we get at least 2 time sessions, 3 is the max. The last time run is the qualifing run. We are laddered from there, unless it is a very large car count, then we may get laddered after 1st round. Usually there is about an hour between each time run. It was said at the meeting that you could get into Byron and Earlville on Friday night. I dont know about the other tracks. The run schedule is decided by the track.Billy Baer is one of the board members, if you PM him your address, I am sure he could mail you a copy of all the information that was handed out at the meeting, or to answer any other questions that you might have. Our entry fee is $100 plus the track charges each racer a fee. Each track is different and I dont remember what that part of the cost is.

Re: MWSCS Drivers meeting!

it looks like the Earlville race is listed as a one day race too, is that a mistake? Sounds very similar to the old NCSGA that I used to run with. What I like about it is that I won't have to take off of work to race. It looks like I will be able to leave after work on Friday for most or all of these races. Do you have to be a member to run with you guys?

Well, I have proven in the past that I am pretty good at that too, so I should fit right in. LOL You should roll some time out of the stop on the Chevy II and run one or two of these. Jarod and I have been talking about it and he said he is coming to a few of them too.

I can't wait for the season to start, I have the vette all ready to go.

What time on Saturday morning do you guys usually get started? Or does that vary from track to track. Just trying to decide if I can drive up on Saturday morning to the closer races?

Thanks!

Re: MWSCS Drivers meeting!

Do many people come up on Friday nights?

Bill Baer 03-25-2010 01:58 PM

Re: MWSCS Drivers meeting!

About a dozen or so on average for Byron or Cordova. I don't think RT66 is open on Friday night I would think the numbers for friday night arrivials would be a little higher when we go to Earville.
