Greg, you can laugh, but way back I ordered a new 1978 short wheelbase (110") Chevy G20 cargo van w/400 V8 smallblock w/turbo 350 and posi rear. W/out my plmbg. tools inside, (empty) the thing was a killer...I won countless street races w/the thing, and often thought of turning it into a stocker....just never did, cause up around 100 it was a little scary handling-wise....:eek: WJ

There is class that hardly anyone knows of if you do the motorhome conversion you can put that combo in U/HA which stands for u/house/automatic.LOL

50 gallon fuel cell in very back and leave the tow hitch slug in the hitch with a wheel to replace ball while racing or turn slug upside-down for spark show. May even get x-tra $$ for wheelstand exhibition veh.... LOL !

Can I get one with a 4 speed? Nothing like slamming gears while you're 20 feet in the air. Wahooooo.

I thought you were joking, till I looked! 14.85 with the new index a bit porky though @ a min weight comp weight of 4470. Think of the sponsorship potential, 85 yards of add space, blotting out the sun for the spectators, moving at well highway speeds so they can even read the fine print.....Do you even need a cage at that class?

Frankly it would be an easy one to do, for practically no dough....

They came with 4 speed OD transmissions behind the 300-6 and 302 V-8, so you could run one

Tried to edit that but it wouldnt let me. They came with the 4 speed OD in the late 70s & early 80s but i dont think they did in 91

Not very strong anyway , 4th gear drove thru the cluster to get the OD gearing. Some had bushings, the better ones had bearings in the cluster. Nothing a Jerico wouldnt fix
