Re: Looking for Hotel for Pomona
Three of us stayed many times at the now called Radisson Suite Hotel in Covina. They offered a reasonable NHRA rate.
Try www.hotelscombined.com site for other hotel deals in and around Pomona (Glendora San Dimas etc...). MB |
Re: Looking for Hotel for Pomona
The Motel 6 on South Garey Ave. in Pomona was recommended to me last year. Reasonable rates and about 4 miles from the Fairplex.
I had to cancel the last minute because the person I was rooming with bagged out. So havent stayed there personally, but I know several members here on classracer have. |
Re: Looking for Hotel for Pomona
James, West Covina, is a good erea. close to the track about 15 min. restuarants, there is a Bestwestern there that is pretty nice. good luck.

their trailers.....and the porta potty's are just down at the end of the row of trailers. Bugs? Not a problem at Pomona, rain has always been a possible problem there. |
Re: Looking for Hotel for Pomona
I like the Motel 6 on Arrow Highway a few miles west of the track. Several eating places within walking distance.Going back to the track is a straight runn right down Arrow Highway !
And try out PINNACLE PEAK STEAKHOUSE on Foothil Blvd. in San Dimas........ .......don't wear a tie ! :-) Last time I was there WJ & KJ and crews were there and lot of other old racers. And lot's of story telling at the bar.....:-) |

Re: Looking for Hotel for Pomona
I like Red Roof Inn 909 599-2362. I book early before they know they will be full and usually pay $49.99 for 2 Beds with Frig,Microwave, Internet included. It is 100 yds. off highway and more secure and has much better parking. It is usually pretty quiet ( At least til my kids arrive). Pinacle Peaks is best place to eat and is about 1 mile East of NHRA on Foothill and you might get to eat there for free if I crash my old truck again. Another good choice is Quality Inn Airport off Haven and I10 in Ontario... two room suites sleep 4 to 6 and cost under a $100 with free hot breakfasts and beers in bar at night! Good Luck from Irving Family Racing your Welfare Hillbilly stock racers!!!!:)
