Chaser 04-03-2007 05:33 PM

Small blocks can get down I 75 @ 25 degrees and wet !!!!!

How ya been, CR ?

Eddie Arnold Jr. 04-04-2007 06:03 PM

Chaser Man !!

Great hearing from you and knowing that you haven't given up on your buddies that frequent this board !!!

Small blocks might be able to get down in 25 degree weather , but I will be the first to admit that after seeing all the recent rash of accidents and cars hitiing the walls etc........mostly due to track conditions and temperture

I'm starting to re-think my tow to Cleves/Cinn if the weather doesn't warm up ?

How is Mrs. Chaser and the Chaserettes doing ??
Miss you guys and hope to see you this year , that is see you after I cross the finish line first !!

Eddie Arnold Jr. 04-05-2007 01:23 PM

Wild thang ,,, I know you are right ,,,,, But so Was Columbus when he said

DB ,,, Thanks for the up-date ,,,, I hear you and have made the decision to NOT GO TO Cleves this Friday ,,,,, the 2 inches of snow and Ice on the
ground today also has an effect http://www.classracer.com/html/happy.gif

I'll be like the rest and take my chance at INDY !!!!!!

86IROC 04-05-2007 09:51 PM

I'm planning to go to my first NHRA pts. race at indy, with this crappy weather report,no testing, and basic fear of the unknown am I wasting my time. Has the weather alway's been ****ty this time of year in indy? Can I get a time run on friday?

CBS 04-05-2007 11:23 PM

86 IROC...call me...

sstSteveM 04-05-2007 11:27 PM

Tim, until 4-5 years ago this event was always at the end of April, early May, and since then, yes it has been crappy. Remember last year they cancelled the event after rigs had already arrived on Thursday. The track runs open TT on Thursday for $100 until 8 pm.
You are slated to get 2 hits on Fri, 1 Sat morning then run 1st rd Sat afternoon.
The schedule is usually behind because they like to wait for the weather to warm up a bit in the mornings, some oil downs, etc. It is often windy there too.

Good luck

-steve

sstSteveM 04-05-2007 11:34 PM

CR, you usually time trial quite well, you should accept the challenge from Carl.

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys or the set up for Chebby ??

I'm a gambling man , but 1st hit ,,, $100 ,,, sounds like a set up ,,, I think Chebby has been out this year , and has some Data + runs on motor ?

I'll be firing the rebuilt engine for the 1st time tonight , and of course I've made some changes attempting to find 1 or 2 more MPH form the Small Block plus I want to do something different with the stop etc,,,,,

Hey Chebby , If we get to run on Thursday at the open test and tune I'll bet you Dinner , Mrs. Chebby included for the 1st hit on Friday or Loser
Contributes $50 to RFC on Sunday morning !!! DEAL OR NO DEAL http://www.classracer.com/html/happy.gif

86IROC ,,,, you will be fine , I know some of the tracks you have raced down and always do good ,,,, The weather will be either Great or Lousy ,,
Are you bringing my buddy with you ??

Colorful Racer

chebby2 04-06-2007 10:52 AM

CR , I haven't been out this year and won't be there till thursday night, so my first hit will be fri. Keep your slip from thursday and we,ll compare after I run, then we'll go see Glen Kreider for a donation.

DEAL OR NO DEAL

Weather permitting

Eddie Arnold Jr. 04-06-2007 11:20 AM

NO DEAL !!

If weather permits on Thursday , I had planed to get 2 or 3 1/8 mile hits.
The 3rd or 4th hit would probally be a full 1/4 mile pass ,,, I wanted to run
my Junk all out just to see if my changes made any difference ,,,,,,

Now seeing that you haven't been out , let's do this ,,,, we both make a hit
on Friday Morning and we count the 2nd hit on Friday for the Donation to RFC !!!

DEAL OR NO DEAL ???????
