Contingency checks???
 

I was wondering if anybody has gotten paid this year from VP or Impact. I have gotten every check from the Charoltte race except from these companies. There is no way VP should not pay, everybody buys their fuel...:confused:

I received a VP check last week for my class win at Norwalk which was in June. I still haven't received Comp ATI or Jiffy Tite from that same event.

Each decal is worth $300 for a win. $100 for runner up in a National Meet.

The payout has gone down the last couple of years. The economy!

Todd: I won class at norwalk and got a check from VP in less than a month and a check from ATI for converter & trans after i returned the paper work. Good Luck, John Keihn

VP paid quickly.
I received ATI this week after sending them documentation in June.
I still lack CSR starter and water pump and Aeroquip fittings.
I plan on making calls in Dec before years end.

Hi Todd,

I won class at the Toyos and am still waiting for one of my three checks to come. Comp cams paid me first (that was about a month and a half ago), VP i had to call them and the lady said they send them out like once or twice a month and then I got that one a few weeks ago. Ya gotta call them, economy is down yes, but it doesn't cost any less to race!

If you do not get paid IMMEDIATELY, CALL NHRA, ask for Contingency Director.
Tell them the facts and they should be the ones to help you out. You are a member of NHRA and the NHRA is who posts the contingency awards. I am still at a loss why you can't register before the season OR why NHRA does not pay you when they do the post-race inspections of decals and products.

We pay Racer Rewards with my company. Same as NHRA Contingency but without the "administrative fee" or having to pay NHRA a minimum if not enough racers collect the contingency dollars. I think you will see more companies paying contingency awards (on the side) with registration through their websites orat the events.

For small companies it is the only practical way to do it. NHRA simply wants way too much "minimum $$ ($4500.00) to be a Lucas Oil Drag Race Series in this economy and to top that off, they reduce the number of LODRS events we could display at.

Yeh, you're right, I do not like their contingency policies at this time with this economy. It should be a time for NHRA to work with new companies not just let the contingency company list continue to shrink. But what the heck, it's their playground.

We will continue to do an "in-house" contingency program for NHRA and IHRA racers in 2010 at Trailer Toad LLC.

Wow, ATI was one of the first to pay me each tome this year.....Did you fill out the form / waiver they send to you in the mail? That could be a hold up.

I think the manufacture should do it on the side also.. We had a runner-up at a Div 7 race
and the first payment I received was from Scott Mclay and he actually called in person to congratulate us and the check was in the mail. A Big thank you to Mr Mclay!! the other next two checks were from PTC and Turbo Action all of these companies were not on the sheet but payed with there sticker and product very quickly... Now these companies I will gladly do future business with. Jiffytite is another company that deserves props those people are on the ball !! E-mailed them, Returned my message that same day and continued to work with me for a few days to work out some details what great customer service and dedication to the Racers Thank You.. Now the other 10 companies threw NHRA took from 8 to 12 weeks to pay Except CSR they s--k!! Sticker is coming off they never payed and wont return e-mail or calls... Meziere starter is allready ordered CSR is on the shelf.

Anybody seen Mopar money since spring?? Post Bankrupcty they issued press releases regarding continued support of the sportsman programs (including the Hemi-challenge).

Dittos on Comp Cams. The person in charge had been out of the office for a time, but is getting caught up now. They've always been very good about contingency.
