Jason Line running stocker

Jason Line running stock at Brainard in his spare time. After running 6.50's what do you think it feels like to run 11's. I bet if you asked him he would say he's having a ball doing it.

Isn't that where KB racing is headquartered? I thought they were in the heart of NASCAR country

Bob,

I see he went pretty fast at 3,600'... Must be a quick car, he is number # 3 - 4 after the second session... Remember thats where he started his successful career, its great that he makes a return visit... Show 's he hasn't forgot where he came from, I think its great and wish him all the best ... Jason winning would be the story of the year and would help Stock + Superstock racing.........

I think it is really cool of Jason to jump in and drive for Pete. I would also like to wish pete the best with his treatments. Good luck to both of you.

Peter's car is one fast ride. So can we expect a father and son shootout in the K/SA class final?

Hang in there Pete, we wish you the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Edgeworth 08-14-2009 10:20 AM

Re: Jason Line running stocker

He would/will probably beat up on his dad real bad in the final. I don't think any of the other K/SA cars there are anywhere near as fast as Pete's.
Now, would Jason have time to do a teardown? He could be real busy tonight!

Looks like he earned that car a HP review. OUCH

I would like to congratulate Jason for his class win at Brainerd with his Peter Boslovitch tuned and owned K/SA 80 Malibu. I am betting however since Jason beat his Dad in the class final, that Peter who is staying at the Line's place will be sleeping tonite in the dog house!!!!!

Bob Gullett, are you going to call Jason Line and congratulate him? You will have to add 41 pounds, next year to your Malibu, for no good reason. Unless you go race a national event and run slow enough to get the average down. and Jim Wahl what different does it make to you? You have a 305? Tom

Re: Jason Line running stocker

I would guess that Jason did exactly what Peter wanted him to do. Peter loves to make the car go fast.

Bob Gullett 08-14-2009 04:27 PM

Re: Jason Line running stocker

As a matter of fact I have contacted Peter to congratulate him on tuning the car and Jason on his driving to get the #1 qualifying position, something Peter has yet to accomplish at the national event level. With Peter's situation which I'm sure everyone is aware of, getting 3 horsepower to achieve a goal and what people say or think,is the furthest thing from his mind.

Charley you know how to fix it. You have to run K and run 6 tenths under.

Bob I have no problem with them being # one and I'am happy for them. But second round of class is where I have a problem jason had to take 3 cars strip. It's Just stupid. If those guys have such a bad car come to indy this year. Come on we will all run M/SA and see who has the bad car.

Doug Patrick,Wade Owens,Sam Laporte, Brad Bishop,Mike Mc Ginley, Tommy mattingly, Larry Hodge, peter's car, myself who's in?

Jim I got it

Re: Jason Line running stocker

I can't talk for Peter but if he could, he would. He loves the performance game in stock. But I know his health problems won't allow it.

Look how this racing has become. ..now we are bashing people that race the way it was intended too from the beginning..This with Jason can only be good for the class...even if he dont understand "the system"..who does really...a system that punish the fast and rewards the slow..

Re: Jason Line running stocker

Line has brought more "ink" to stock class this weekend in competition plus's and NHRA's web site than any other weekend. Because of his qualifying position AND beating his father in class.

I would say the Line family have poised themselves well for this race, one I will be watching.

With that much "ink" I'd love to put 'em in one of our rides .............sure could lead to something !

So wait with INDY coming up I'm sure someone would trigger it anyway. Bashing a guy for going fast right after saying good job for number one......I'm confused.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Jason Line a Stock Champion at one time ? I think he was, so he should know about going fast !........ Good Job !!!!!!!! John Lang

Guess it is a performance based class after all? - good to see someone letting it all hang out, racing the way it should be. Anyone running the same combination will get hp, so if you were a tenth behind before, you will still be a tenth behind with the next hp hit. The solution is to get in the garage and work on making your car quicker. If you yourself are not capable of making your car quicker, then start writing checks to someone who is.

Well, round 2 and all Lines are out. Bill Fiest is the only one carrying the banner for them.

I will still bet a good time was had by all!

Wasn't there something unique about his championship year with #1 on the car?

OK Mason, I'll bite. Can't think of anything unusual about it, what gives??? His comp. number has to do with his C.I. (from the Buick days) and has now changed to Div. 2.
