Good News for d2 and d3 racers
For those of you looking for someplace to race close to home Bowling Green has put out a new schedule with 10 stock/superstock combo races. 8 of them are 2 races in one weekend [sat nite and sunday]. Also Ohio Alley has 6 combo races scheduled. No where else in the country can you race this much without having to travel far from home. I for one will be supporting these races with either me or my son Andrew driving.

Greg,
I won't be ready this weekend but, that's my plan. Who needs a stinking points/national meet when you can run this close to home and not have to take all your vacation time traveling. |
Re: Good News for d2 and d3 racers
These races are the future of the sport guys. It's good to see so many tracks getting on the band wagon! Jim

Re: Good News for d2 and d3 racers
The first Combo race at Beech Bend is April 19'th, the schedule I got in the mail was not the updated schedule(it had April 5 as a combo). The schedule on Beech Bends website is the updated one. April 11 at the valley. So Greg did you get Andrew that SS/AA Corvette he wanted? J.Gower M/S 3058

Re: Good News for d2 and d3 racers
Here is the official schedule from Dallas+Clay Jones Todd,
It has come to our attention that there has been a discrepancy on our schedule of TCI Comp Cam Super Stock/Stock Combo races. Below is the correct dates for these events: April 19 June 6 & 7 July 18 &19 August 8 & 9 September 19 & 20 October 25. Sorry for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused. Sincerely, Dallas & Clay Jones Beech Bend Raceway |

Re: Good News for d2 and d3 racers
Jimmy, Andrew's still waitnig for his SS corvette. Maybe if Kenny gets too old Art will hire him. Thanks a lot to Clay and Dallas for the great schedule of combo races and also to Terry Huff at Ohio Valley. With these races I'm sure not going to miss going to National events. Let's see 16 combo races, 3 National Opens, and 6 or 7 points races. This is great

Re: Good News for d2 and d3 racers
lol....The way Kenny and I are driving we might need him to try it out, then again dont give grampa any ideas or one of us might be looking somewhere else for a driving job.

Re: Good News for d2 and d3 racers
Greg and Others,
Thanks for the heads-up on the April date change for the S/SS race at Beechbend. Until I read this thread I was going to be their this weekend to race per the printed schedule. Just a thought maybe their should be a new thread title mentioning "Beechbend April 5 th SS/S date moved to 19th". Did not want to do it since you started the topic. I am new here so not sure if their is a need for it. It was just by chance I read this, sure saved me a lot of travel time and expense, thanks. |

Re: Good News for d2 and d3 racers
Why in the hell are we running 1/8th mile at the Saturday night races???
|
Re: Good News for d2 and d3 racers
The reason for this is what Ive heard, some of the faster cars dont want to run the 1/4mile at nite because of the fog that sets in+ track gets damp on the upper end+ vision problems+ get done earlier. I personally like it myself, be fun racing 1/8th mile at nite.
