Billy Nees would be a good Candidate for this job. Heard he even drove a Ford and smiled once. Could see the article now "MAVERICK 200 cu.in. 6 in a 09 Mustang" Yep he's your man.

Re: Dream Job Opening
Sorry Larry but Evan would want me to relocate to the Big City and I'm happy right here on the "farm". BTW as far as me in a FFFord, I'll bet that you believe in UFOs, Bigfoot and the Easter Bunny too!

I'd like to be at the Holland Tunnel when you tried to enter. Now that would be something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to Atco? Ed |
Re: Dream Job Opening
Billy,
My office is in Jersey, right off of Rt. 80, so you can sneak in and sneak out when the day is done. I won't even make you come in every day. We're outside of NYC, but we are awful close to the Big Apple. Evan |

Re: Dream Job Opening
Mr. Billy I may have seen a UFO or 2 in the night sky over New Mexico or maybe it was the effects of the Tequilla and paint fumes, but there are witnesses and it has been said that there are Photo's locked away in a vault by a certain track operator in central Pa.. These Photo's are not just of Billy in a FFFOrd but he has a SMILE from ear to ear as the FFFOrd carries the fffront wheels off the line. Working on Pontiacs was a forgiveable stray from the bow tie but enjoying ones self in a FFFord deserves true punishment. YOU MUST GET A REAL JOB TO REDEAM YOURSELF you are on the egde of the slippery slope from witch there is no return. Haven't you Driven A FFFOrd lately. It's time to come out of the closet and own up to it, you bleed blue oval blue.

Dennis:
Not for me.I went to the school for the mechanicly declined. If it weren't for Tom G. I wouldn't even be running the index.I try to do my job driving. The job offering is a sweet deal to someone who knows the technical end and has writing skills.Evan's articles in Dragster are entertaining and informative. He's very good at what he does. Ed |
Re: Dream Job Opening
Fast Eddie, did not you work for the law firm of Dewey-Cheetum & Howe.

Re: Dream Job Opening
Dave the Top Secret project you speak off was only an eye opener a sort of seeing the light experience for Billy. The FFFOrd experience I am refering to is more of a for your eyes only deal.
Ed don't you think it would benefit Mr. Billy to be taken under the Wing of Evan, with Evan adding polish to Billy's hammer and chisel approach. What a combination, sorta like Crosbey and Hope or Cheech and Chong you get the idea I'm sure. Could you only imagine if Evan could get Billy to write a National Dragster Stocker Tech Article?????????? Billy REPENT take the JOB |
Re: Dream Job Opening
Evan -- You deserve all the sympathy in the world as I'm sure all you wanted was a good employee but instead got Cheech & Chong.....................good luck with your search and I'm sure that there is someone looking for his (or her) "Dream Job" out there .

Not firmiliar with that firm. But I did do some consulting work for Hookum and Tookum. Larry; I kind of envision them as more like Sonny and Cher.I'll leave it to you as to who's who. Ed I know who would be perfect for the job,but he's too far away from NY and his schedule is way too busy. Maybe some guest editorials would do.Right Tom? |
Re: Dream Job Opening
Evan,
My body is telling me I've got to get out of this machine shop. 35 years of the fumes & chemicals are taking their toll. It's turned my hair gray & thinned it out. It has caused my head to grow out the top of my hair line. That has been murder on my vanity. Some hunters came to my shop thinking they had found Big Foot. They had been tracking some large foot prints. I had to tell them they were made by my big flat feet. Years of the concrete floor abuse has taken all the arch out of them and made them flat & oversized. Hummm, might come in handy in the snows of New Jersey.. If I did retire I would be able to list my former occupation as: "Retired Automotive Arms Dealer" You know the cycle, one customer wants a machine gun, the next wants a tank, the next a cruise missile, the next wants to nuke 'em all. No one wants a grenade. I have tried not to build any of them. On second thought I better not do that because if Bob Frey announces it I might get a visit from the boys at Homeland Security. As for the relocation to New Jersey from East Texas/SW Arkansas it might take me a while to load the wagon. The guys & gals on The Planning & Zoning Commission & The School Board would miss me. I'm not sure what they mean by it, but they say I really make a vote worth something. Woops, I just noticed the job requirements. I'm a little deficient in some of those areas. Without Spell Chuck I couldn't even have wrote this here. I guess you will have to put my name on the bottom of the list. You know, well below Billy & Ed. Wow, never thought I would put my self at the bottom of the barrel below Billy & Ed. Good luck with your search for that special someone wanting that special dream job. Adger |

Re: Dream Job Opening
I'm so happy to see that Evan and I have such good friends to look out for our well being. I do believe that working for Evan will truly be a "Dream Job" for for some lucky person. Hopefully (for Evan), that person will be younger, more literate and less opinionated that I am. I don't see the Cheech and Chong comparison, maybe Johnson and Glidden? (I wish)
