Congrats to Sterling Simmons for his Win at Piedmont Dragway which he won 1000. plus the Jegs.com 100 gift cert. Kevin Shipmon was R/U in his Duster. The lone semi finalist was Jim Reynolds in his 57 Chevy, Jim also won the dash for cash which was a 100.00 gift cert from JEGS.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SHOWED UP. YOU GUYS PUT ON ONE HELL OF A SHOW AND THE CROWD DIDNT LEAVE WHEN YOU GUYS RAN AFTER THE PRO MODS.

I stay very neutral but I'm going to say I had a igloo cooler of ice water ready for Kevin if he wins last night. I told Sterling I would never pull against him and I was glad to see he won since he had his boy with him. The first race I won in 2005 after not racing for 8 years and having my 2 kids there was awesome.

Stick cars XTREME MOTORSPORTS has posted 100.00 bonus to any stick car that wins a Stock SS race at Piedmont.

Herb ,you guys did a great job. This was my 1rst race in 2 years since i sold the old wagon.I had a great time and will go back for the next one as long as i am not working. Had so much fun i am thinking of retiring from IHRA and going back racing.Hats off to Sterling ,you did a great job .At least i was pitted beside a WINNER!!!!!.D.W. !!!! PS good looking pics!

Thanks guys. This was a very special win for me. It was my son's (Sterling,III) first time seeing his dad win a race and my first born's (Chandler) 13th birthday.

This race was Saturday evening. When the race was threatened with rain we moved it.

I saw that it was changed. It was originally set for the Thursday before.
