Randy, My point was that after 14 month I have no heard of any NHRA Stock or Super Stock racer having a problem because of this. Have you? Stan |

No not yet but doesn't mean it isn't on the radar. I just built a new car and hope to be able to race it. Randy |
Re: EPA crackdown
Yes this noise has been around for some time, but with chinee joe's crowd in various agencies, better pay attention. For example look at what happened to the class 8 glider industry. Gee, imagine being able buy a new truck that runs better, and you can actually work on it.

I guess I forgot to ask a question.

Re: EPA crackdown
Many have received responses from Democrats regarding the RPM Act in which they express basically a disdain for hot rodders and racer's. Their push is to enact their Green Act policies. They could care less for hot rodders, racing and racer's.
https://www.turnology.com/news/toms-...d-congressman/ On the other hand, I have received responses from AZ Republicans supporting our sport and hobby; the Democrats have been silent on the subject. An exception was a very nice response from AZ Kristen Synema, an independent that leans with liberals/democrats. In her response she stated that although she supports a clean environment, having lived in Arizona and having first hand knowledge of how important hot rodding and racing is for the state of Arizona, that she will support an exception for those that modify cars for racing and as a hobby. |

There is already a huge crackdown on off road ( cat-less) exhaust sales with companies stop shipping non c.a.r.b. certified pipes and tuner companies no long doing tunes. This should be a huge priority for NHRA right now because over 90 % of their income is derived from racers using vehicles that were originally production line with a VIN. |

That's why gearheads, racers, etc. from all forms of motorsports should be concerned. As posted above, this basically means all 1968 and newer vehicles could be affected ( and maybe some older than that that had smog pumps ) In other words, 99.x % of full body drag cars and trucks will be affected because not everyone in Stock and Super Stock races a " Body in White " race car that never had a VIN https://scontent.flex1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...39&oe=6077EAE0 |
Re: EPA crackdown
In these days of heightened "greenness" it would set a good example not to go and kick off a pallet of 2.5. tons of used nickel/? batteries from the Space Station the other day, to let all of that krap to burn up in the precious atmosphere.

Re: EPA crackdown
Only a Neanderthal would be more concerned with something as nasty, crude and simple minded as racing cars than with saving the planet.
You're a selfish brute if you believe otherwise. |
Re: EPA crackdown
I saw this last night on the news where chiknee joe has fired all of the members of the e.p.a. advisory board that were appointed by Pres. Trump. I don't think anything good will come from that.Time to stock up on various chemicals, light bulbs, dishwashers that dry the dishes, ect. .
