If you use a steel line, either DOT approved or coated. Bare steel line will corrode. Either Aluminum or a good brand braided hose or stainless.
Kartek sells -8 (1/2") stainless steel tubing.

I agree on the ®Teflon lined braided. I use the black nylon braid but the braided ss will outlast most of us.

The best steel braided hose for a fuel system is the Goodridge G-Line XF 811 hose. Will work with any fuel, with anti-static properties and resistant to fuel vapor leakage.

I use aluminum. It's light, easy to shape, and cheaper than braided. That said, I use braided for vibration connections.

We use and sell Brown & Miller Racing Solutions hoses and crimped fittings.

Same here, my bracket car has the same Moroso aluminum fuel tubing that I installed 35 years ago, never had an issue with it. Important to have it secured properly, I have rubber lined mounting Adel clamps every 10-12 inches.

I just replaced SS braided line that was in service for 20 years without issue. I’m now using black nylon braided Lines.

I've gone to PTFE lined braided hose for all fuel lines and transmission lines.
It will outlast any rubber type hose and will generally handle higher pressures and temps than typical rubber type braided hose.
I particularly like it for injection systems that are running 50 -90 psi.

I have it on my bracket car. 6 years and no problems. The ends aren't the easiest to install, I found a little use of a heat gun on the hose before pushing in the ends helped a bit. Once in, they don't move.

What do you use for the transition fittings to go from aluminum line to braided or to system devices? Does the connection seal by means of a furrell, a flare, a swagelok, or something else?
