What stock class?

Just acquired a '64 sport fury with a 361, torqueflite and an 8.75. What NHRA class will this run in. It has the big 2 bbl carb.

Go to www.classracerinfo.com and that site will tell you all you want to know. You have to join (free) but is worth the look. Dwight Southerland who is from this forum runs the site. Good luck.

Some of the Mopar guys can tell you if that's a good combo or not.

383 4 Barrel is the hot set up if you are on a budget!
Many competitive cars with that set up are fast.
Most parts supersede to very good later 60's HP stuff
Such as Heads and intake.
The horsepower has been dropped on them several time!
Also 426 Street Wedge has been dropped a Million HP.

How are you doing?
It sounds like you are still Kicking!
Let me know if you need any help!

Natural "J" car that can run I or K, too.

John's right about the 383 being the more popular combination, but they had their intake serial numbers updated earlier this year too, to their detriment.

Yep, kinda wondered myself if that’s why Jim Hale has been running Super Stock lately. My good friend built his 383 using the 301 and then had to scramble to make the change.

The 64 Manifold looks like my X-Wife stepped on it
( A couple years after the Wedding Bells = I think
she backed into the Shop Air Compressor)
