"Live" from NMCA Norwalk
 

Let's lead this off with the weather - a brief shower rolled thru this morning and clear blue skies are here for the rest of the weekend. Temps are unseasonably cool with highs only in the mid 70s. With the good air and Norwalk track prep we could see some quick times from the Holley Supercars. Stay tuned. I will have more photos and news from the test and tune this afternoon.

Here are some Cobra Jet shots from today's test and tune. Chuck Watson went a 8.17, Carl Tasca ran a 8.31 and Anthony Bongiovanni ran a 8.33. All in Factory Stock Showdown trim. There were more showdown cars testing, but I did not get their numbers.

I don't have exact weather numbers, but it was cloudy and temp were in the low seventies. If I had to guess I would say it was about 2600ft. The track was in great shape, the starting was excellent, Carl Tasca knocked out 1.19 60's with ease.

Here are some photos from testing yesterday. The track prep yesterday was outstanding and with the good weather for the rest of the weekend it should produce some good times for the factory showdown cars

It's been another perfect weather day here in Norwalk. The Holley supercar showdown race is shaping up to be a good preview of what to expect at Indy. There are five cars separated by just .06 seconds.

Gardner Stone. 8.22. Cobra Jet
Carl Tasca. 8.22 Cobra Jet
David Barton. 8.22. COPO
Scott Liebersher. 8.24. COPO

There are 23 Cobra Jets on hand this weekend.

The qualifying list for the Stock-SS combo shows 24 cars but several more have come in and a few more car expected on Saturday morning

I few photos from yesterdays action. I can't believe the weather here, at present it is 55 going up to 70, are we really in August. Whats the weather like over at Bowling Green?
