Why not just let all the FS/XX cars run in the shot out . Like a div. Open ser.Race no car count limits . Why limited it to just 8 ? 9.90 index ? They are not super gas cars .lol.Thanks for the reports & pics . Hope it clears up.

Well we just ran 1st round. They announced they were going to try to get in a round of pros starting in about a half hour starting with Funny Car. About 15 or so minutes later they said Stock Eliminator to the lanes for Round 1. No cars were out of the trailers, let alone warmed up! Everyone scrambled and got there but I think they really did not treat us fairly. Larry wasn't as upset as I am but they should have given us a little bit of warning. Anyway Timothy Fletcher beat us so we will be heading home bright and early in the morning!

I was driving through the pits when the announcement was made "stockers to the lanes". You could tell by the panic on some of the racers faces that they had no idea they were planning to run today. It was a mad scramble to get the cars out of the trailer and up into the staging lanes in time to get paired.

Two Showdown cars had there blowers completely disassembled. David Barton and Steve Bell. Both cars were good. The photos below are from David Barton's blower being torn down by Dave Ley. As you can see they even sealed it once it was put back together and on the car while Dave Ley waited and watch Barton bolt it back on.


I hope this puts to rest that Baton's car is legit. Also hats off to NHRA for making sure these cars are right.

Here is the schedule for Saturday. Stock is out first with four more rounds of competition scheduled for today. Super stock will run five rounds today.

Not sure how many reports I can give today with little to no access. The weather was about a dime quicker this morning with temps in the low 60's for the first round of stock. Super Comp is running now and they just called Super Stock to the lanes.
