Re: "Combo in the Hills 2"

Well we are just a few days away from the "Combo in the Hill's 2" and the weather forcast looks great. We have gotten some outstanding feedback over the last two weekend at Maple Grove and Englishtown and it looks like the turnout should be outstanding. As of now there is no rain in the forcast for Friday or Saturday and the temperature is supposed to be in the mid 70's. This all makes for a great weekend for racing. We hope that you are all looking forward to a great weekend of sportsman racing. For those of you that plan on running the cic race on Friday, the day will begin at noon for open test and tune and around 3:15 the cars running the cic race will make their qulaifying run for that race. The cic race will be run on a "sportsman" ladder.

Last year we had many of you who attended who came from the south who were not happy about the ride getting to Numidia. Many of you took 81, I believe. I can tell you that the way that we go we have no problems with. It is a little of the beaten path but a beautiful and accessible ride. We take I83 up to the Lemoyne exit over the 11/15 North. You stay on 11/15 until they split and you continue on 11 North. Continue on 11 N and take the exit for 42 South. The track is a few miles down on the left hand side. Only 1 kind of big hill on Rt42 but a very nice, quiet, relaxing drive.

Hope to see you all there. Lee and I look forward to this great weekend and hope you enjoy is as well. And we again would like to thank Rob Keister for allowing this to happen and letting us join in with the .90 Nationals. Please make sure to stop by and thank him as well.

Lee and I have asked a lot of people as well as read all of the responses to the survey and have tried to put together a race that will cater to everyone in Stock/Super Stock Racing.

On Friday June 8th, we will be running a "CIC" Race for those looking to to something new and let it all hang out. We will use a trigger of .85 under the pre 2011/IHRA indexes. The scales will be working and Dave Ley and Curt Lasure will be on hand to keep everyone honest. There will be a possible spot check! Entry fee for the "CIC" race will be $50. Payout is determined upon car count.
Example Payout with 40 cars...
$1000 to win
$500 R/U
$250 Semis.
Payout will be adjusted accordingly depending on the attendance. "You Support It, We'll Pay It". There will be 2 qualifying runs and we will make a ladder for first round.

We hope to start qualifying for the CIC qualifying at 12:00 and start eliminations at 4:00.

On Saturday June 9th we will run the Stk/SS Combo.
Entry Fee...............$150
Example Payout based on 100 cars.
$4000 to Win
$1000 R/U
$600 Semi
$500 5th round
$400 4th round
$200 3rd round
Again this is based on 100 entries. If there are more entries we will increase the purse."You Support It, We'll Pay It".
-NHRA and IHRA cars welcome.
-Indexes based off the pre2011/IHRA Indexes
-You must dial at least the index
-Random pairing 1st round
-Stock and Super Stock seperate for 4 rounds. We will combine in the 5th.
-No heads up runs
-2 Time Runs

This race is being run along with the ".90 Nationals". S/St-S/G-S/C. There will be no bracket cars on Saturday.

That is where we are right now. We have tried to listen to all of those who have given their opinion and improve the race accordingly. If anyone has any concerns or questions you can ask those on here or send an email to sportsmanpromotions@gmail.com Thank you for all of your support for this race.

Brian, is this data up to date still? It might be also helpful to do a CIC rules for dummies/newbies......ie .5 under the IHRA index cars might want to save their money...and to confirm, we are to park on the left side of the track, go through front gate(food, fuel and scale side of track).....lastly how is the parking area with the latest water? I don't recall how much blacktop they had....don't want to get stuck!

Thanks

Eric

I will be arriving on Fri. morning to announce both days of racing action. Again I would like every racer to feel free to come and visit in the tower and announce some also if you want to. I know many have not visited timing towers much unless you have questions etc. This will be a fun race, since I'll be in the tower alot, this will be a fun way to say hi to old friends and a good way to make new ones. I really want to see a lot of you visit us in the tower! I hope we have a great turnout, let's support this event!! By the way, Skills, are you going to be here? See me in the tower when you arrive.

track announcer

Re: "Combo in the Hills 2"

Eric,

Can't help you out on the payout info but, Bob told me they did get some rain on Friday Night and some Sunday night but, nothing to be real concerned about as far as parking goes. They are due for some rain today and possibly Thursday. Eric, there is no blacktop except up by the fuel pumps but that is normally where Bob parks his rig. The return roads are blacktopped and yes enter in the first gate (Food, Tower) we will park till we can;t park anymore then the overflow will have to go over where they were last year and cross-over.
