11:00PM, I stayed in Hebron, OH and the Matyas race team (Maytag, Inc) made the trek home in the dark. I was too tired and logged another night in the Hampton Inn.

We had a great time. We got to hang out in the Matyas luxury liner all weekend, so how cool was that? Jack and I went five rounds, didn't break anything....so, it was a good weekend.

Congrats to Katie, seven rounds of tough racing with some of the best in the business. She earned the win! Time for bed.

Any Matyas sightings back in PA yet? Wondered if they made it home. 9:30AM Monday out here in Hebron and I'm heading home today.

Some bad news, on the way home, The Wenzels broke an axle bearing and axle in their motorhome. They were only 70 miles out on the 330 mile venture home. They had to call Ben Jr. to bring down the pick up truck to get the trailer home. Ben and David will return today with tourches and tools to make the repair themselves. Talk about hands-on guys, these guys do everything themselves...........very rare these days........I know I would be making a phone call. I'm sure the biggest obsticle will be getting the new axle and parts for an old motorhome..........stay tuned.

As I sit here at my desk this morning daydreaming about this past weekend -- inspite of rain - unbelievable heat and humidity - several tree malfunctions - and the fact that my trans broke in round five I still came away with a nice weekend .The folks in Division Three couldn't have been nicer - tech people went out of their way to make us feel welcome - track staff did everything they could to make us glad we were there - and the racers-- I must say so many came up and introduced themselves to me i lost count - many more thanked me for my writing and posting - its always nice to hear .Even children , yes - children came up to me for autographs as I signed nine tee shirts over the weekend .

Thanks to all of you -- I had a great time ...................doing things I love -- writin' & racin' . As Arnold would say ---------- "I'll be back " .................

No Jack, thank you for all the great pics and reporting! Guys like you, Larry and Patsy and all make us guys who have to sit home feel so much better hearing about all the adventures, ups, downs and great times and "family" that are met while enjoying the sport we all love! Thanks!!!! Jim
