Divisionals might be my favorite events. I run them because I enjoy the style of racing, enjoy the pace, and like to compete for a division championship.

They even have class racing at some of them now.

Tony,
My point is nhra entices racers to get grade points to enter it's National Events. It's obvious that a lot of racers go to get grade points when the Gators fills with 8 grade points and racers come here upset about it and then later making requests from any racer who may have to drop out. This is getting old and I believe it will cool the enthusiasm for the divisional races and reduce car counts and profitability for the track owners. But your response really says it all. You appear to be saying I'm all set so I have no need to support the racers efforts to get increased quotas at Natiinal Events. I'm glad you are happy with your racing program.

Re: Gators

How were racers who were less than a grade 8 entered before today? I’m not including gold and silver card holders or past world champs. And why would a former champ enter before the quota is met???

Grade 7 opened at 11:00 EST today and was full before I could finish entering at 11:01. May have been full before it even opened at 7 to today.

So if anyone is planning on dropping out of Super Stock please let me know.

Best way to contact

Don't feel bad Jake there were plenty of us trying for the same 3 spots. Same happened to me. I guess I cant type fast enough. Most likely those spots were gone before it opened at 11:00.

To kept it under 64 cars would be a good reason, 1 less round

The opposite effect will eventually take place here. Some of you are suggesting to race more to ensure acquiring a grade 8.. I get that.

For racers like me, I have zero desire to spend 8 weekends at a divisionals/open race to possibly win a mini wally and $.peanuts. I prefer to race nationals and historically a grade 4-6 would allow me to do just that. Now I will have to attend 8 divisional/opens and then sit at my keyboard at 11am EST on the dot of the Wednesday entries open up to grade 8 to ensure I get in. No thanks.

So for me, why bother attending 4, 5, 6 or 7 div/opens races if that doesn't get me into any Nationals anyway. So I'll do the opposite and attend the 2 or 3 locally that I enjoy attending and once that gets old eventually not attend any.
