Dallas Raceway;

Most racers expected it would happen sooner or later, today, Saturday Jan 24th looks like the day has arrived.

On the DR web site it shows the Fab-Five series canceled. IHRA has moved D 4 race and bracket finals to Pinevalley. Noble OK has the Mini-Million series.

Last Fall I raced my last race at Dallas Raceway, go figger.

No disrespect was intended. The only time I raced there the folks at the track were helpful, friendly and professional. I don't recall if the racing surface was any good and I also didn't know they hosted any Pro Ams or team finals. I'm new to the area. I've just been used to racing at Crandall the past two years and the pit area between the two isn't even comparable. Yes, they are still open and yes, good for them. Again, it wasn't intent to knock anyone or anyplace. I will say it's closer to our home than Crandall.

I spoke with Ihra, the fab 5 race is still on and on same date, only the location will change, said they should have location finalized next week

Ed, "mini-million" is a scaled down version of the annual million dollar race. Randy Faulk is the promoter. The "mini-million" series will be hosted twice at Thunder Valley. [spring and fall]

Yes, just saw it on their web site.

I'm in shock that someone could invest that money into a facility and it only stay open as short as it did. I'm simply amazed. Very sad indeed and yes, a tremendous waste. That will have to be the nicest truck salvage yard in existence. Glad I don't drive by there for things very often.
