No thanks, Bo. Some of us remember what happened to Top Stock. No, we don't need to open up the rules in Stock, or Super Stock. We've got enough aftermarket stuff in Stock as it is.

In fact, if the rules hadn't been opened up so that cars with no VIN and no certification as a production street vehicle were allowed into the guide, we would not be in this predicament.

There are aftermarket head's , carb's, fuel injection and supercharger's that we can all buy and all the cars can fly for reasonable dollars . And sponsors will come back if we can buy there parts. why does national dragster advertise part we can use ? This is drag racing get with it , propose changes that will work and we can all live with. New cars ,old cars I love them all . On my wish list is a 69 camaro and a 2010 CJ to race in NHRA

Open to the rules is the most interesting part of your post to me. Yes, you are correct, but you have to remember that not everyone is on the same economic playing field. Many of us save, scrimp, reuse, and do without in order to race under the rules that we assembled our race cars.

There is also a spirit of intent within the class that you choose to race. If you build your car within the rules and spirit and that is changed overnight without logic or reason, then what is one supposed to do with limited means? Walk away from something they enjoy or even love?

Another interesting word you used is performance. Yes, it is about performance and the thrill that we receive from the acceleration and competition. There are additional levels of performance. One being that the racer performs within the context and rules of the class. The other is that the sanctioning body perform with their ethical obligation to uphold the rules and standards of the class fairly.

I feel there is a shortage of performance on the latter, not the former.

I thought for a moment that were joking about something that impacted your class. And since it doesn't, you can sit from your remote location and be a spectator and occasional commentator to this blood sport that nhra has created.

My class has been impacted. Can you remember the Artie Leong Factor?
153 horsepower gets hit 13 horsepower in one shot. Take a calculator and put those numbers in. And see where it meets the AHFS.
Everyone else gets 3.25% I get 8+ all at once. And very very few of the "villagers" spoke up on my account.

Your class has not been impacted by the DP's. That was your joke right? A lot of us have been hammered illegally by these nhra clowns but that still doesn't have anything to do with these new cars.

But all of this talk about villagers has given me an idea for a racers' poll.

Also where is the auto sport media while all this BS is taking place? I think I have the answer. They are counting advertising dollars and giving the OEMs and nhra a free pass.

My comment was joking about the uproar these cars have caused.
Okay how many others that aren't effected are on the bandwagon? Holding pitchforks and torches? I guess they shouldn't comment either.
Opinions are like a body part we all have.

Everybody can voice their own opinion!

These new cars affect every class from AA to J - stick and automatic. Making fun of folks who have worked hard on their combinations isn't funny; especially from a racer who is immune to the new cars. And that is my opinion.

You totally missed my point but thats no surprise on here, I never mentioned getting rid
of any other classes just putting these cars were they belong IN THERE OWN CLASS..
