Constitutionally speaking, state and local government.
That being said, I wouldn't sit in any grandstand ,in close proximity to other people, at this time, no matter where it is.

I am still going to be cautious in public but I am going out of the Darn

I heard on the news this morning a prison in Ohio has 73% of the inmates testing positive. I wonder if they tested everyone in America or for that matter the world what the % would test positive?

I hope Bill Bader's event happens sucussefully, safely with proper social distatncing, and peacefully. Ohio very much in the news these days. Respect the nation wide protest, wish they were done respecting social distancing. The one in Denver did not.

I'm just trying to make some sense of all these people at this Dirt Track today? They are about 100 miles from what is now described as a NATION HOTSPOT for COVID-19, after the Smithfield announcement. A processing plant that has about 3700 employees. It has now been announced that close to 700 people, employees and people directly involved with those from the Plant have tested positive. With the pits full of Late Models and Modified Dirt Cars and people in the stands. Makes me wonder how many of the remaining 3000 people, may have attended this event? Meanwhile the rest of the people in THE WORLD have been ordered to stay out of the public and indoors if possible. What makes all these people attending and participating at this event SO SPECIAL that they don't have to follow the orders that have been given to the rest of THE WORLD, Hot Lapping or not? MB

There are 8 states in the country that have little or no restrictions in place from there Governors. Both of the Dakota's being 2 of them. So probably not in violation. The whole world may have guidlines from The President, Dr Fauci, the W.H.O. , CDC or whoever but not necessarily law.

Due to my age and underlying condition, if I were to get this disease, the consequences most likely would be dire. Be safe everyone, I hope to see you at a race at some point this season!

First off, thank you for your service. I wasn't in the service, but worked for the Post Office. My 1st few years was in the military mail section. We handle most of the mail going to the service men and women around the world. I hope all got everything that was sent to them, a few packages didn't make it. That was from 68 until 71 or there abouts.

I am 70 and have had asthma (mostly in my youth but some issues in adulthood). That being said I am very careful when I get out. Most of my food is brought to me by my daughter and her husband. I am very grateful for that. I do go for some fun food on occasion (ice cream and such). Being on house arrest (as I call it) is frustrating, but I get it. I pray daily and enjoy talking with people when I am out. We keep our distance and all seem to be doing quite well.

Common sense applies to anything that we do in these times. Unfortunately, many people don't have that and thus are possibly putting others in danger. I, for one, am willing to stay close to home and wait it out. Good luck to all and stay safe and healthy. Prayers to you all.

South Dakota has a governor that understands the constitution, unlike some others. And I am not a republican.

To each his own, stay home if you want. I am 74, have RA, a cancer and SEPSIS survivor, even with that I intend to live my life as normal as possible.

Let's get to racing. Fresh air, a gentle breeze and sunshine is a hellave lot better then being couped up in stale house!

Not all of the Governors seem to understand the constitution or care. One of my favorite quotes lately is from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy saying in regards to a question regarding the constitution .. " That's above my pay grade.."

Looks as though the NASCAR teams are heading back to work...racing in May with no spectators is the plan. Could NHRA be far behind ?

I'm not sure what blue states have to do with anything here.

Anyways, Mr Greene if you insist on minimizing the effect of COVID 19, I suggest to take a roadtrip from Tennessee, stop in Washington DC, pickup Dr. Carson and go to one of the hospitals in the Bronx or Brooklyn. Take a stroll thru the ICU without PPE and witness the human suffering. Then volunteer to help the health workers putting in 16+ hour shifts. If that doesn't work you can come to the other end of New York State and visit the Erie County Medical Center. The county where I live has 2000+ cases of the COVID 19 virus. Perhaps you will change your thinking about sheep, goats and hoaxes.

pS

Paul,
What you don't seem to understand is most people in this country do not live like you city dwellers, we don't ride subways, or live on top of each other my county has 2 cases, no hospitalizations and most don't get flu shots so there immune systems are working. So you city folks deal with like you want, and in your case Paul your just hoping it destroys the economy so Pervert Joe gets elected, and us country folks will go racing hows that BUD
