Hey nothing wrong with making them run faster, it's just a matter of getting what you got to work together, some of the parts in my ride are 20 years old but there was a certain chevy II that made me go to work.Even when I didn't race for eight years I may not have been working on the car but my head had the gears turning so you can't get complacent or you will get behind. But I hate to lift!

Jeff is my hero.

And, I don't feel so bad about not going to this one. Listened to my wife.

In the interest of fair reporting, I was sitting underneath the tower, for round 4 of super comp, when it started to lightly spit. It did this for about 5 minutes. They had already been announcing that a cell of storms was on its way. The ground was barely wet but the radar showed a huge cell coming this way. The director sent everyone to the pits to load up for the night so everyone wouldn't be stuck loading up in the rain. This was all around 8:30 pm. It didn't rain another drop when I went to bed at 12:30 am. Yes, it proabably could have been run to completion last night but he made the call he thought was best. I personally would have liked to finish it up last night but I can live with the decision he made.

And this is where I applaude him, he then called each class up to the tower to decide when we would finish each class. I'm not too sure if other directors would have done this. Each class agreed on where the completion would be ran. I know super comp and super gas are at the Dallas div, and super street is at belle rose in a couple weeks. Those were the only classes in the room at the time. The only kink in completion is going to be allstar points. Every class will need to be run before then.

I was wishing I had gone, until they called it last night.

Want rain? Schedule an event. Want the rain to stop? Postpone the event.

The weather forecasters really blew this one...the forecasts went from a high probability of rain all day Sunday (it was still being forecast as 40-50 percent around midnight Saturday) to 10 percent or less chance of a late afternoon shower by 8 a.m. today. It rained sometime between midnight and 8 a.m., but by 8 the radar showed all the green stuff moving away from Houston, out over the Gulf.
