Now that is funny - but we do keep reading the posts and responding

I am surprised, as tough as Ken (the administrator) is, that he has not moved this

But maybe it is OK to be entertaining - I have some really good road trip episodes, escapades, tales - I could post - I am sure we all do

Do we believe it all? It must be true - after all it is on the internet

LOL

It is just how racing frequently goes - it is what makes it interesting and "fun"

Actually I kept up with Drooze on his trip and believe it or not it is all true. To me this is a break from reading the same post about bogus horsepower and oddball muscle cars.

No, if they really want to get some "mileage" out of this, they need to take their act to the 'bullet.......................

OK........

My last race was 2 weeks ago at Atco....the Open series race.

I just redid the trans in my S/C dragster (don't throw any fits cause I don't have a friggen Stocker). I did my own trans.....was having trouble hitting the .370 tree.....I gutted the trans and replaced the VB and some other parts. Tested it at home and it was fine on jackstands.....

Loaded up my stuff.... Car in the trailer, camper on my pickup....

Drove to Atco after work thursday...2.5 hours. Arrived in time for beer to celebrate arriving alive......

Watched my friend make a mess as he changed his trans that was puked!.

Made 2 runs next day.....trans leaked.....I fixed it... it was a minor error on my part and not much of a leak.........haven't done my own transmission in a long time......

Made 2 more runs next day before first rd......got my act together and went to rd 3 on Sunday........missed the tree and got the big L on my ticket.....

Hung out....talked to some of my Stocker friends and enjoyed watching and the beautiful weather.......got my "gas money" check and headed back up north.......Arrived home in one piece on time and put some of my stuff away......Went in the house and rest up some......go to work Monday at 6:30

Proper planning.......things went well.....no mishaps....no big stories.....Could have easily been a Stocker with the same story........

For what it's worth, I DID see the Droozemobile in the car show area at Vegas.

No one around it to give everyone's love and best wishes to....
for a high Neilsen rating this season....

Why are so many bashing this thread. Has anyone here read the reason they are doing this? Here is a quote from a post by Mr. David(Droozes Dad)

People keep asking "why", and the probably the best answer was given... Because we can. I will only say this once because I don't dwell on it, but life is too short (have a Doctor tell you that you have 6-9 months to live and see if you don't agree with me.) and nobody is promised tomorrow. Getting this car down the track and actually being more than competitive is on my Bucket list... And it is the only thing there, that hasn't been accomplished yet... So why do we do it? Because we have to do it and we do it with a sense of urgency that sometimes overcomes common sense.... But we will keep going as long as we can... And we WILL get it done.

Here is a guy that is doing whatever he can to help his dad fulfill a bucket list. He drove accross the country, didn't make it in time and you have never heard them complain. He didn't gripe because NHRA wouldn't let them in or give them a refund. He just simply documented a time with his Father that soon will only be great memory. I lost my dad in the early 80's in a car accident. I would give anything in the world to have known he was going to be leaving this earth. I would have wanted to let the world know everything we did and how much I enjoyed spending every second of every day with him. So please if you don't want to read the post or if you think it is that boring then just don't click on it. It is hurting no one by having it on here and I for one enjoy getting the updates. Keep up the good work Drooze and crew. We will be there as soon as we can.

It is not bashing

I am sure we all have well and good reason to do what we do

We have all had extraordinary things happen on our road trips

I am just saying it belongs in the lounge

If I or anyone else started posting BLOGS here they would be gone in 60 seconds

Not bashing? How about that TV show crack from Nees with the dumb as a stump dad? Is that classless or what? Totally.

I certainly have not taken the time to read all of the posts I was only referring to myself

This is a lounge BLOG
